two miles isn't a bad range at all on a set of £33 WT's,
one thing worth noting though is if you plan to use in a foreign holiday destination check they are legal to use on those frequencies in the country you are visiting.
Some European countries are very wary/paranoid about technology uses!

HOT

However - if you are near any of the PC worlds still stocking the pack of two of these - they are still a tenner for the pair (instore only).

If you have access to a Makro - there are 9 days left of this deal for 4 radios under forty quid (posted by a really really nice guy) :whistling: :whistling: :whistling: :whistling: :whistling:

and this set is probably the best kit without buying single 'professional' radios.

But using any of these is HOT as if they can be used instead of mobiles or landlines - there are no call charges.

I have 4 of these that we use when we go skiing. Used them for three ski holidays brilliant and easy to use. I have picked up messages from the top of the mountain when hubby was back at the hotel! Only drawback was that although rechargeable the batteries were not that good and I replaced them on the last holiday as they did not hold there charge too well.

pmr446 is legal in most of the EC = i think it is only the last two members that differ (Romania and Bulgaria).

Howerer - if you use an american set here - which are a different frequency - no one can really tell what frequencies they use from looking at the handset (without personal product knowledge).
