I don't get the logic of this, if I put my record in a frame, how am I going to listen to it?

You just hold it, while playing the same album on mp3...

I bought one of these to hold a record, it's the right size to put the sleeve in, but you actually have to take just the record out and put that in I think because it's too thin to hold a card sleeve (at least the one I tried). Just putting the actual record in there looked weird to me though (perhaps this is just me and everyone else realised this from the photo of the record on the item!)

Why?

Dungannon store Northern Ireland had about ten left today.

Got about 10 or so of these left at the Blackpool store.

Keep the record out in the inner sleeve ;)

FYI - These are 12.5 inch so don't look great with some records as they have a border round the record.

I don't get the logic that this deal originally got three times as hot, when it was four times as expensive....

Because they're normally about a tenner on ebay.

Nah man! what you do is you go to the local charity shop and buy a load of rubbish old records that noone cares about, and you nip to a shop that sells spray paint on your way home and pick up some GOLD paint.
Spray the records gold, remembering to put a table cloth on the dining table first then put the gold records in the frames and hang them in your hallway. Then when your mates come round you can convince them you are a really tallented musician.... :p

You put the outer sleeve in it sans disc. :|

Also good for laser disc sleeves and the artwork in Disney's Big Sleeve releases.

I put a stones picture disk in one looks great .

Anybody know where you can get the frames for double albums?

Pro*-tip - Turn the default picture that comes with the frame around when putting in just the LP. This at least gives a white background making it look much better, especially with coloured LPs etc.

*Not really "pro" but yeah.

Or you buy some old laser disks on eBay to put in these, for 25p it's a no brainer

I bought loads of these when they were 50p. My thoughts:

- The glass pane looks nicer than plastic but may smash
- The black frame is one solid piece of plastic, which I prefer to the usual 4 lengths fastened together
- 12.5 x 12.5 inches seems to be slightly bigger than your average vinyl sleeve, so there's a slight border
- There isn't much depth in the frame, so it's a tight squeeze to get anything thicker than a sheet of paper in there. You've got no chance fitting a double in there. Proper record frames have little springy clasps on the back, to accommodate different thicknesses
- For 25p it's a bargain! They look great, even if you just print out some record covers to put in them, instead of actual records/covers

They sometimes sell them on findmeagift quite cheap. Obviously not as cheap as this though
#22
There is a bit of gapping around the edge of some sleeves but I just put in some thin black card behind the sleeve (bit of a tight fit) to take up the gap

Not to troll but why on earth would you put a record in a frame?

Unless you are a platinum selling artist I don't see the point.

Because some album covers are works of art and look beautiful when framed

Cut the sleeve in half and put each half in a separate frame. Simples.
#26
Surely you could put other things than records in this?
#27
I've got a record rack, much easier.
#28
Can you fit just album covers in these? I've heard conflicting views on this. If the record is taken out will these fit just the cover alone??
Anyone who's tried please let me know. I see no point in putting the vinyl in a frame, but album art would be good!!

I have some signed test pressings which are irreplaceable so I'd never risk playing them but didn't want to hide them away so have them displayed on my wall.

Also can understand why people would put album covers in frames...I have album covers that have been signed by the artist and rather than keeping them hidden away it's nice to have them on display...and as navidson said above some people regard some album covers as works of art so display them....as always each to their own I guess ;)

Definitely....I was actually specifically looking for some square photo frames and these were perfect for what I wanted to frame....can't think of anywhere else you'd get a frame this size for the price....admittedly I bought them when they were a £1...now feel really ripped off...lol...

Bought a few of these at £1 to put some Disney soundtrack picture discs up in my daughter's room. It is a tight fit but they look great. 25p is ridiculously cheap!

It's a glass pane but the actual frame is a solid piece of black plastic
