Red Cliff is a Chinese historical epic set in 208 AD and tells the story of the most famous Chinese battle of all time, The Battle of Red Cliff. A true David and Goliath story, Red Cliff is set at a time when China was divided into three warring states. To unite them together Prime Minister Cao Cao sent 800,000 soldiers to wipe out the South and West Kingdoms, whose combines army was a fraction of the size, but their resistance and courage against this larger army was to go down in history.

This is the 2 disc special edition with Parts 1 and 2. Next cheapest is £17.99.

This movie is along the lines of the Dynasty Warriors series on an epic scale..... if you're into the game you will enjoy it - my kids did.

I personally couldnt stand it.

Awesome - I've been wanting this one for a while! This is a great price too, considering you're effectively getting two movies as the director intended, as opposed to the single disc version (which is more expensive too!) that splices the two movies together with a lot of cuts (140 minutes or so!).

I was going to ask about that. I've hear the condensed version isn't as easy to understand.

I saw a trailer for this film and it looked visually amazing, but really boring, which some reviews have confirmed. But the music soundtrack is by Taro Iwashiro, who I really like, so I'm tempted with this one:thumbsup:

I watched this film recently and loved it. It's definately not boring. There's some amazing photography and some great battle scenes. The fire ships scenes in particular look stunning on bluray.

Nice find - thanks OP

Informed my parents as it's one of the few things on my Christmas list, as much as I enjoyed the condensed version at the cinema, I want so much this 4 hour version, I do hope it adds more character development, the 2 and a half hour edition was lacking in that.

I enjoyed the strategy of the cinema version - I'll give this a go!
