Never pre order a game! The games industry has gone to dogs they do what they can get away with and nothing else, simple things that should be included are now dlc, can anyone tell me a game that has lived up to the hype? There no innovation anymore games are like clones of each other. No mans sky should be a warning to anyone, buy it when it comes out if it's any good it will hold its value if it's not it will drop into the 20s pretty fast, also if you think about it Christmas will put this games price all over the place like it does every year, it's worth waiting.

So pointless 'reserving' now. You would invest your money better in putting on £40 worth of scratch cards. FREEZING
Payment isn't taken until the game is dispatched.
This is a deal website, and at present this is the cheapest place to pre-order.

I just don't understand the mentality of "A game has just been announced, I MUST PRE-ORDER IT NOW!"

£44.99 is likely going be the standard price everywhere, with alot of places likely selling for closer to £40. I get it's the cheapest price just now... but the game is a year away. It will be cheaper.

And if it does become cheaper elsewhere, you can just cancel and pre-order it again. However for such a big and hyped game, there is no guarantee it will be cheaper.

Will be £37/38 easily nearer the time.

You would be better in that time writing a few gaming articles or releasing a couple of YouTube videos that become popular and getting the game for free as a review copy. even if this doesnt work you might have some fun and at the end of the day STILL get the game for cheaper a day before. COLD

I've personally pre ordered with Amazon, price is high at the moment but will drop, they'll charge me the lowest price they drop it to, even if it goes up. Saves me messing about with ordering and reordering. If it's too pricey come release I can cancel. At the moment, it costs me sod all :)

Freezing cold. What's the point of ordering it so far in advance?

Will it though? There's gonna be a lot of demand for this and rockstar know it. Look at the price of GTAV :)

Either way don't expect to get it on release from Zavvi :| Fairly sure flubit with amazon will at some point get it down to £37/38 and they'll have similar delivery times to Zavvi

this is the one game il probably buy digital. it was my most played game online during 2010/2014

Really pleased they have at last confirmed a sequel is coming, no idea why they were so resistant to doing one before when the original was such a hit, the cynic in me wonders if it was just to build demand up to a fever pitch and then be guaranteed a tonne of pre-orders but either way no complaints from me, though no pre-order either at this price.

No deal then as this is just the rrp, but glad it's coming out anyway. :)

It's not really the publisher who sets the actual price though, it's the retailers, and with such a high profile release they'll know they can sell millions of copies, so will undercut each other to try and increase sales. They'll hope to make far more sales at a smaller margin. I got GTA V at release for £35 on both 360 and PS4. If you're meaning look at it's price now then yeah, it's held it's price remarkably well... but it still wasn't >£40 most places at release.

It depends who the fulfilling merchant is. If you get TGC they will deliver a couple of days prior to release, just as if you went directly to them. But yes wait for the cheapest Amazon, Tesco price then Flubit it.

the release date might get pushed back as well as happened to some games in the past.

£44.86 at Shopto if anyone really really needs to have this preordered and doesn't have the Uni vouchers.
#25
49.99 on GAME.co.uk if your willing to spend that little bit extra
#26
Thanks OP, just ordered.

Nah I'm kidding, I'm waiting for a Zavvi 10% off voucher. :D
#27
I've preordered with zavvi before and items turned up 3 days after release!!!

£100 in my pocket if you don't want the game...

got a feeling this is gonna get colder than a poler bears toe nail.....

Another reason to not take this deal right now is the pre-order bonuses situation. Love or hate bonuses, Zavvi might get zilch while other retailers do. Better to wait and compare.

They'll probably cancel it soon. The T&C states:
'excludes pre orders'

I really don't see the point of preordering AAA games that will be widely available 1 year earlier. Your copy ain't going anywhere.
#34
Also £44.99 at GraingerGames

I honestly don't think anything over £40 can really be considered a deal. Being the cheapest option available at the moment doesn't necessarily mean it's good deal. If it was around £35 then we'd have something to be interested in, but not at this price for a game that's a year away (and will likely be delayed).
#36
I pre-ordered from Amazon... Figured that the retailer is going to engage in another price-war with Tesco in the meantime, and drop the price to something more "HotUKDeal-worthy" near release.
#37
Im waiting for a collectors edition to be announced!

Yes, i will wait to see what piece of tat I can get with it

Maybe a horse statue

Or an actual saddle.
