This is for both Xbox 360 and PS3. Next Cheapest is £49.91 @ Amazon. Plus if Shopto fail to get it delivered to you by the release date they will compensate you £3.

Heres the details of what the Limited Edition includes:

Limited Edition Contains

This all-inclusive Limited Edition for Red Dead Redemption features the full game, The Deadly Assassin Outfit, the Golden Gun Weapon pack, the War Horse and the originally scored soundtrack from the game.

THE DEADLY ASSASSIN OUTFIT

John Marston's "Deadly Assassin" outfit causes your Dead Eye meter to regenerate at twice the speed. With more Dead Eye, you have more time to place each shot with total accuracy, making you the deadliest gunslinger in any fight.

THE WAR HORSE

There are countless horses to be found in the massive world of Red Dead Redemption, but none is stronger, faster or tougher than the exclusive War Horse. Whether storming gang hideouts, exploring the wilderness for hidden treasure, or outrunning the law, the War Horse gives gunslingers an advantage in nearly every situation.

THE GOLDEN GUNS WEAPON PACK

The player who wields the exclusive Golden Guns receives more Fame for each kill. The more Fame you get, the more in-game side missions become available. So there will be more opportunities to duel, more kidnapped townsfolk to rescue and you can bribe lawmen for less.

THE SOUNDTRACK

More details will be revealed about the Red Dead Redemption soundtrack very soon.

Shopto also deliver the game earlier than the release date.

Looks like if you dont get the limited edition then you will be missing out on an easy ride through the game ;)

Optional extras mind.

I'm not sure if this is exactly hot as it's still pretty dear for a fairly light 'Collector's Edition'/ Limited Edition, but moreover, I've been waiting for this game for ages, especially since finishing GTA TBOGT. Looks fantastic. My only problem being that I'm not sure whether to go for it on the Xbox or PS3.

I'm a gold member at Shopto so I get another £1.50 off this, aswell as them routinely getting new releases to me on the Tuesday of Wednesday before release so this will be my route to getting the game.

Hmmm, the extra addons may be avaliable as DLC too... may have to check that first.

wouldnt necessarily say it would make the game an 'easy ride' at all;

Golden guns = more fame = more side missions quicker.

War Horse = Best horse in the game - Whilst this will give you an advantage I cant see it affecting your progression through the game too much. Dont reckon it will be much different from having a faster car in gta (gets you around quicker but doesnt necessarily make things easier).

Faster dead-eye regeneration - This is perhaps the only thing that will make the game much easier, but that depends on just how much faster it recharges. At any rate, dead-eye is an ability that you trigger yourself so you dont have to spam it.

yeah i kinda see what you mean, but (this is just my opinion) I'd rather have a load of in-game perks than the standard artwork book etc. Plus there is also the soundtrack which may turn out to be brill! I reckon its well worth the few quid extra.

ps. go for the 360. Looks like the multiplayer will play a massive part in this game and would suit Live alot better. Plus future dlc is more likely to be released on the 360 first if not exclusively.

I was going towards 360 anyway, as my whole GTA IV experience was on there, and Live is usually better than PSN from my own experience. I just hope that there's not yet another 1 month push back on release date :w00t:

I don't see a £42 game hot in any context, unless it comes with complimentary cowboy outfit :p

SHOPTO BEWARE:

Ridiculous price. Also the shopto.net "release date or compensate" thing is a sham. Ordered a game from them two months ago. Didn't arrive. Had to wait 15 working days to file a claim, by which time, naturally I had gone out and got it somewhere else. Ended up having to wait almost over a month for the money to be refunded, kept hearing their promise "oh yeah we will compensate you £3 when you file the claim after 15 working days".

Then when it came to it, they refused to give me the £3 because they only do that if I replace the order. (Well not my fault for wanting it asap, and ending up finding it cheaper in a preowned sale at a local store).

So shopto is a NO NO for me. They sure have changed from a year ago where you got super fast first class recorded deliveries.

Just thoght I'd share my experience.

I just canceled my pre-order, £42 is too much for a few ingame bonuses and a soundtrack that I'll never listen too.
#13
Can ANY cold voters find this cheaper?

This might look like a lot for extra DLC HOWEVER that's not the point.

"IMHO blah blah blah" shhhhh don't want to hear it.

How can you blame the shop for a lost parcel?

And as for the £3 they are well in their rights to say that, to be honest they don't even have to offer that.

Shopto has always been good for me.

Anyone not get this today? I didn't..... see the e-mail I sent them -

Hi
I am writing to you to express my disappointment in your company, a company that I decided to favour over others for a pre order of Red Dead Redemption Limited Edition, who I shall not be using in the future.

It is the release date of such game, and I have not received this in the post. I would file for a £3 credit, but after reading your 'clever' terms and conditions, it appears I have no grounds to; as I did not select 'recorded delivery' when ordering the item.

I sincerely hope this doesn't happen to other customers, especially first time buyers where 'first impressions' count for your reputation. Every company I have ordered with has always committed to their delivery date, except for yourselves.

I am now a disappointed consumer without an order he expected, thank you. I will not be recommending your company to other consumers and will not be using you ever again.

Yours sincerely

Just thought I'd let you all know, I never got this off them. Had to file for a replacement, never got that. Just got a refund today. I will never shop with them again.
