In my experience, it won't be.

Got this instore in Game for £34.99 pre-owned, gutted if true

Surely this is expensive? seeing as it's been out a while I would have thought it would have been this price or lower new.

Its not expensive.
This game and call of duty have held value, not shops sell it for £37 even online retailers.
unlike kane and lynch. boy did that price dive.

Not every game's price drops like a stone, just most of them. Ubisoft games are pretty much guaranteed to be £18 within a month, Rockstar and Nintendo games hold their value longer than most.
Any big selling MP game (CoD/BC2/Halo) tends to hold their value longer than most as well.

I traded my copy of RDR in for £19 store credit (across the entire store) at tesco the other day, when blockbuster dropped their price to £25 pre-owned

p.s. heat added.

have you still your receipt? if you have buy it again at new price and return it with old receipt

Excellent price. PS3 discs are scratch proof unless you attack them with a hammer so your gauranteed a mint copy. Only the case and manual has a chance of being tatty.
#10
it's also £24.99 at Blockbusters where I got mine last Friday. Everywhere else was at least £32.99 for used.

Fair enough, It is an excellent game, completed it on the 360 the week it came out and got £25 trade in for it. My advice would be to but it second hand off AV forums like asl9791 and get it a bit cheaper.

You paid 34.99 for a pre-owned game? Couldn't you have stretched to the extra quid and bought it new so the developers at least see SOMETHING? Buying pre-owned is gonna mean we all pay more in the future when everything goes download only.

I got my copy from ebay the other day new and sealed for £27.01, £26 - £30 seems to be the going rate on there.

Out of 45 PS3 games i have over 27 are pre-owned , I am full agreement with you though in regard to buying a pre-owned game for 34.99 !! You could get it for that price or even a pound or so cheaper brand new from Shopto. I wait till games drop to a least 25 , recently I got Uncharted 2 and Dead Space together for £12.99 !! and MGSIV for £5.99 .

Question: This doesn't need a unique key thing to play online does it?

HOT!

Its a mainstream game, therefore it usually takes months (or even years in the case of CoD 4) for the price to drop significantly.

No, thankfully this is one of the games that comes without any of that activiating code rubbish, or any of that DLC in the box, that only the first account that activates it can have.
Sense it could be one of the last major releases to be that way though :/

Especially with supermarkets entering into the pre-owned games market...

not bad, personally these days i buy all my games 2nd hand as i have no real desire anymore to have a game on release. its only cheap new sealed games i get, or if i have done a switch of sealed games. but yeah everyone should just get them 2nd hand.

25 here is tempting, i have it on my rental list so if i really like it ill be all for it, if it just isnt for me then at least i wont lose anything.

Lol, that sounds like a very sustainable market. Guess we should only buy second hand cars too? ;)
