This seems to be a bit of a no-brainer (pardon the pun) as it works out cheaper (after Quidco) than buying the DLC bundle pack from the PSN store, has resale value, and is playable without owning the main game.

You are basically getting a six hour or so single player campaign, multiplayer/co-op zombie modes, plus all the other multiplayer and free roam modes that have been released. Everything but the original single player campaign, as far as I can tell.

"Rockstar has confirmed that Undead Nightmare will be sold as a standalone offering at retail. It bundles the Undead Nightmare Pack, the Outlaws to the End Co-Op Mission Pack, the Legends and Killers Pack, the Liars and Cheats Pack and all the Multiplayer Free Roam modes released to date — all on a single disc. Unlike the single-piece DLC, a copy of Red Dead Redemption is not required to play."

You will need to use a Walkers voucher to get this price. Quidco tracked at 57p for me, taking the price down to £15.58

I know theyre slightly different but don't wanna be missing out if the original campaign on Red Dead Redemption is too good to be missed.

...Or if you don't have a copy of the original RDR handy.

Coming soon, Undead Nightmare, a single, stand-alone disc that bundles together for the first time ever, the Undead Nightmare Pack, the Outlaws to the End Co-Op Mission Pack, the Legends and Killers Pack, the Liars and Cheats Pack and all the Multiplayer Free Roam modes released to date. Undead Nightmare will be available at retail stores everywhere for $29.99/£24.99/€29.99 and does not require a copy of Red Dead Redemption to play.

The original game was excellent, one of the few games that I enjoyed enough to keep playing and finish!

Red Dead Redemption : Undead Nightmare is a standalone game that does not require a copy of Red Dead Redemption to be played.

Unlikely - I'd expect you need the disc in the drive in order to play it. Unless you mean install it, finish it and then sell it on, then that should be fine.
#16
Excellent fun, been enjoying this the past couple of days perfect for halloween, well worth buying!

Super Hot! skills flamingcarrot (_;)
#17
Hot, ordered, glad I didn't buy it online at the weekend!
#18
Are all the other DLC modes being put on this disc?
And what is the co-op horde mode like on the Undead Nightmare?
#19
Does this not include the pervious DLC either? Kinda a ripoff otherwise..

Sign up to walkers.co.uk then go to "view your account" then "Free points". This gets you 2 points, enough for one 10% code for zavvi or thehut.

The Oblivion extra content just installed off the GOTY edition...wonder if this might do the same.

Yeah, it premiered in the States on Halloween - I watched it yesterday and was blown away. I am a fan of the comic series, and this is one of the few times that a comic book adaptation has actually lived up to the source material.

Cheers btw flimflam - it is quite funny how people would rather ask questions than actually read the description. I blame the schools myself ;)

Surely its better to get the full game for around 20ish and then install this for 7.99 from PSN?

What if you played the original and sold it.

Johnboy_1975 - this includes all the download content, not just the Undead pack - the bundle of which is priced at £15.99 on the PSN store, 1300 points on LIVE. More importantly this is playable without owning the original game, unlike the online DLC.

If you wanted everything, you could always buy this and the original game, then flog the original when you complete the single player campaign.
#34
Looking it this, it's a dead cert that we'll soon have a GOTY disc with everything on it released for xmas.
#35
I am sure that a GOTY edition will come out eventually, but I think it is unlikely that we will see it released in 2010. There has been no word from Rockstar, and this edition will only be out for five weeks in the run up to Christmas.
#36
Really wish this game would come to PC like GTA 4 did, not coming bak to my inferior xbox 360 console gaming and yearly fee for one game, but if I finally do then it will be when theres a game of the year released with all dlc's and main game.
#37
When you play this do you keep all your money and guns from the original game OR is this completely independant from the original?

I don't know for sure but this review states that it runs separately from your RDR progress & saves.
