What are the chances of being charged the higher price when they realise you used the code and then cancelled an item?

I think people are voting cold because this is stealing and morally wrong.

How is this stealing? If I remember right, you were involved in the DS 2 for £25 "scam" thing where you bought £5 DS games, then sold them to Game for £12.50 each for credit. Surely thats stealing? Or is it simply beating the system?

I wouldn't say this was stealing but it does seem a little bit cynical to knowingly cancel an item to get a discount you are not entitled to.

In any case, does quidco still track for game orders if you use voucher codes?
I know at thehut and other online retailers quidco doesn't track if you use vouchers too.

imo just because this is the best price available doesnt make it a good deal. i didnt vote btw.

a second point though, the op (at the time of writing) has posted the same deal 3 times just using different examples of how the deal works. its the same as people showing a different 3 blurays in the 3 for 2 amazon bluray offer instead of just showing the deal and providing some examples in the deal

you wanted reasons for voting cold, if i was to vote cold, they would be my reasons. it may be the cheapest available but i wouldnt pay £20 for it.
if others would then this will heat up in notime
#12
For those that are worried about misusing codes, just spend an extra £2.86, and get it from shopto. :)

Edit: Just tried it with something else, and when you remove the pre-order the discount that was with the code goes too.

I just tried it with the Red faction price £24.99.
I then added Colin Mcrae 2 pre-order, then added the code.
It took £5 off the total.
I then removed the pre-order, and it added the £5 back on automatically.

You have to place the order. Then cancel the pre-order. You cant cancel a pre-order if you haven't placed it, can you?

What do you mean I have to "Place" the order. This deal is going cold because you haven't included clear instructions.

Just preorder something to make it over £50, then use voucher code 3368yaw and then cancel the preorder and there you go, Red Faction for less than £20!

For those who like me don't understand follow these instructions that the OP should have made clear at the start. Game do not charge your card for pre-orders until despatch.

To get £5 discount(which the OP doesn't say what the code is actually for, or where it is from, or when it expires), put in a game or accessory that you want to buy.

Add a game that isn't coming out for a few months to your basket.

As long as the total of your basket is £50+, add the code 3368yaw to the voucher code box.

You will see that the basket is reduced by £5

Continue through the checkout process, and it will say that the order will be split because of the pre-order. The £5 will be deducted from the item that you want.

Pay for it.

You can then cancel the pre-order(I would wait until you get the item that you want).

You asked and I just gave you my opinion, (although I do feel tempted ).

Game have blocked my cards and banned me from ordering from their site for using these codes in a way they weren't intended.

Still ****** off at game though since I've spent a good £4,000 on orders with them over the last 18 months and must be one of their best customers?
