boxes of 40 were £1.79, but the 80s were discounted to £1.74, cheapest I've seen.

This is a very good price. I buy these and the best price I've found over the last couple of days was £1.49 for packs of 40 in a Tesco Express.

I discovered rooibos when staying with friends in Berlin, and sure enough, Lidl sell it in the UK. I can't remember the price, but I think 40 bags are under £1 (79p, perhaps?).

I think you are right.. I get the peppermint tea from the same shelf for my partner,((that's also similarly cheap btw!) and it's sitting right there.

Tried Roibosch YEARS ago, long before it appeared on regular supermarket shelves, and thought it pretty appalling, but hey, no accounting for taste, and it's worth trying it out at a far lower price!

I drink Redbush tea so I took a trip to Lidl today to follow up on this tip. What I found was that they had four varieties of Lord Nelson Rooibos (including natural), but the price was 98p for a pack of 25 teabags. This works out more expensive the Tesco own brand, which is £1.19 for 40 teabags.

I think the pricing must have recently changed, as I was in Lidl on Saturday, while picking up some peppermint tea I noticed the Roibosch with orange was 98p whereas not so very long ago it was cheaper.

The 2.9% increase in inflation announced today is showing all over the place now :-(

For anyone who drinks Redbush Tea, it's probably worth taking on board that Tesco currently have packs of 40 Tick Tock Original or Green Rooibos Teabags for £1.00.

Asda also have an offer for 2 packs of 40 Tetley Redbush Teabags for £2.00, so this works out as the same price per teabag.

Tesco currently have packs of 80 Tick Tock Organic Original Rooibos Tea Bags for £2.00. This is much cheaper than elsewhere.

I haven't seen any in my local Morrisons and I really want to getsome more. Lidl no longer stock it!

I know lots of other people are disappointed that Lidl no longer stock rooibos tea. You can get it lots of places, but their Lord Nelson brand was the only one I knew that did an orange flavour, which seems to have been particularly popular; really refreshing. Does anyone know if they are going to stock them again, or if not, where else could I get orange flavoured rooibos? I thought it might be nice with added ground cardamom seeds, so I'll maybe try this for a slightly orangey flavour!

I wouldn't call cardamom even remotely orangey, are you not thinking of coriander seeds which some people think taste a little of orange?!
