Got something very similar to this a 3 car experience as a Christmas present. This was for 3 Sisters Wigan. I've since found out it cost £95 and then when I tried to book in April they had gone bust. Even more annoying was the fact that my sister paid by credit card but it's just £5 under the £100 needed for section 75 protection. Grrrrrrrr
Was this bought direct through the track? My experience was through buyagift and when the company went bust they reactivated my voucher and then gave me a refund when I didn't want to book an experience 100 miles away.

Yeah my sister went direct to Three sisters race course to save a few quid (I just wish it was £5 more expensive then I could have claimed!). This was on the bottom of their email:

I've done this in the past, and I won't recommend anyone. They put a smart ass next to your seat, constantly talking slow down, gear, brake .. they won't let you drive it or by any means enjoy it. I hated the experience and because of the smart ass, I don't even remember the cars. The only thing worth extra was I had a passenger seat drive on a Ariel Atom with a semi-pro driver, which was great.
So you got miffed about someone telling you how to drive properly?

Yeah, right funny guy, go ahead and book it then.

So, you're not going to answer the question then?
Here's a tip: don't pontificate from a position of ignorance.
People will call **** on you and when they do, hurling insults at them only makes you look worse.
Oh the irony, remind me, who's the one throwing the insults flower? There was nothing in my post to illicit your (pretty pathetic) response, perhaps you just need to learn to read? :)
How many of these days have you been on?

I've been on 6 of these days, driving somewhere between 11 and 21 different cars. All of them had a "kill switch". I've also driven a Lamborghini Veneno Roadster which was a courtesy car whilst my McLaren P1 LM was in for a service, it was quite slow.

To be honest, I have asked myself why I pay to drive cars inferior to my own, but a very knowledgeable (if not a little bit hypocritical) young lad on a well known money site has said that I talk out of my ass so perhaps I'm just a fantasist?

Does that answer your question? Can we move on now? :)

Good job its not a Mclaren Honda deal
Formula Renault experience is a good price - you'll get about 10 mins driving time. Perfect for a F1 enthusiast who's never done this kind of thing before. Short lap, you're unlikely to exceed 80mph on that track and you'll probably stay in the same gear throughout.

If you enjoyed that kind of experience, then go and do a Palmersport experience day. Pricey at £800ish per person but it really is the best driving experience I've ever been on. Done it for 3 times now - great day where you're actively pushed to the limit.

Voted hot for this deal.

How much is the USB stick that contains the driving experience?
Yeah the Nissan GT-R is a cut above, unbelievably fast!
MIB15
A great experience, but you only get 2 laps in each car (a total of 4 laps).
There are lots of extras you can get charged for, such as the Dunsford Park track, driving on weekends and insurance (I paid extra for the insurance, but if I did the experience again, I wouldn't bother as the instructors will not let you thrash the cars around hard enough to crash, although I did see someone taking an Audi R8 off the track and onto the grass).
The only extra worth getting in my opinion is the USB stick which records your on board driving experience, it is a great way of remembering the day. This is purchased on the day at the track, and no, they will not let you use your own USB stick as it needs software to be usable in their recording hardware.
My favourite car was the Ariel Atom, closely followed by the Lamborghini Gallardo. Gutted I did not try the Nissan GTR. The Aston Martin DB9 was a waste of time on the track as it was too heavy.

Have to agree, my wife got a good deal on the 3 car experience with a passenger drive, I did the 430, DB9 and GTR, the 430 was fun, the GTR was insane and the DB9 was meh, very meh, just didn't want to change gear very quickly, was always a lag, I did get to open the GTR up a bit and wow, I can see what people mean about it being quick. I did upgrade the passenger drive to an atom and that thing is intense. I wish I had kept the USB stick of the GTR drive.

Well worth it, I was there for best part of the day. I also wouldn't buy insurance again but I did do Dunsfold so had to pay for it.

For this price I would consider doing it again but be warned, they will try an tempt you with more laps or upgrading the cars or buying additional cars and it can sprial out of control.

Have some heat
As above 2 laps in each car, total waste of time and money, went on a similar one at Elvington a few years ago,got 4 laps only and the instructor just kept saying slow down. :(

The guy before me on returning muttered what a load of S*** that was.... :D

I wonder where does profits go, I bet developing and manufacturing even more war machines nonetheless after overpopulating the world I suppose we need even more killing machines.

You are aware that Britain is the second largest exporter of arms behind America. We sell to some of the most oppressed countries on the planet. I'd start to worry about your own back yard before that of others.

Hello guys,
Just google it and found that on Russian webpages price is different:
1. aerobatics 45-50 minutes 550,000 - 650,000 RUB ( 6,350 - 7,500 GBP)
2.The flight into the stratosphere 800,000 RUB (9,230 GBP)
So you can save a lot buying it directly from Russians. I searched only for a 3 min and checked 3-5 web pages, and it look like it is standard price. But maybe if you will spend little bit more time, you can find it even cheaper (some special offer or directly from organisers) because webpages which is I checked it is also touristic agency's.
As example: http://www.mig-29.ru/http://www.stranatur.ru/ru/vip-tours/flights/

Aleksandr

Why is it dangerous to go to Russia?
Because Chernobyl Fall Out.
Chernobyl it is Ukraine. The distance between Chernobyl and London: 2,400 KM and between Chernobyl and air base "Sokol" Perm -same 2,400 KM. So you will not be safer in London than in Perm :)

OK, let me try this one again:

Why is it dangerous to go to Russia?

I don't get who would want to do this - it's like having a tour of the kitchen at the Ritz & then being kicked out of the back door without sampling some of the food.
Well, judging by the quality of the football played by England, I would have said more McDonalds instead of the Ritz.
The same England who won 10 out of 10 in the recent qualifiers?

Yes, the same England who beat Estonia, Lithuania, Slovenia, Switzerland and the mighty San Marino...

I'm sorry to say that it'll be the same old story. Breeze through qualifying then they'll get pants pulled down by the first decent side who can actually play a bit.

The marketing men say you want this, you will attend if you love England, you will help pay for the over the odds stadium the fat cats at the FA approved, you will understand football is about the elites and not grass roots - please go support your local team for this money, a more enjoyable experience and more worthwhile place for your money to go

I did this one. After a couple of laps they called me in and said,"Sorry, no professionals." I said I am not a professional but just a really talented amateur. They said," Well you should be a professional. You'll be the best F1 driver in the country!"
All great, good for you. The important information is missing, did they give you your money back?

It's a good way to start though because when you do move up to more serious track days you have experience.
Not sure about that - for "more serious trackdays" you're unlikely to be in a single seater - in fact they're banned on almost all trackdays. Single seaters are quite unlike "normal" cars, and the track here will be quite unlike any proper racing track - so it's not really very good preparation. Something like the Elise Experience at Thruxton would be much better "training" - and you get an instructor with you to help you learn. More expensive though. I did that to learn Thruxton before racing there (almost no test or trackdays at Thruxton). Actually the best part of the day was the extra laps I bought in - yes - a Formula Renault. Scary things - massive vibration from engine and suspension, difficult-to-master right hand gearshift and very fast. Wouldn't really fancy one on a coned-off airfield.

I use the word track days loosely, we were talking about the Palmer sport experiences at the time if you had read the conversation, where you can drive a single seater and other fast lightweights. That is the type of instructor based experience you're talking about.

Really!? When I did it some idiot left a ramp out on the track. I hit it and everyone said 'he's dead'. I flipped over in the air and everyone said 'he's definitely dead'. Landed on 4 wheels, pulled over and I said I don't know what you were worried about.
