I was looking for tickets for Ben Hur and on the Saturday night they have a 'AEG Staff Offer' where the tickets are 0.00 but with transaction charges etc two tickets come to £12.00. With this tickets are printed at home and it doesn't ask for any staff number when booking.

I've heard ticket sales have been poor so they may be trying to get rid of the last few tickets.

came up 20 quid for 4 of us, but won't they find out we aren't aeg employees
#2
Great deal....not so good if when you get there, they ask for ID.
#3
So you guys think they might ask for AEG staff pass...? You do not need to carry one with you anyway..? As long as this is not mentioned in T&C. Its kind of risky anyway..? What do you think?
#4
I believe AEG staff actually work at the O2!!

So maybe without the ID pass they might just ask you which department you work in or who you work for/with. Just surprised that you're not asked to verify that you're an employee at the time of ordering the ticket(s), and that the option is just available to anyone who happens to click on it.

Seems risky to me too, embarassing if you get turned away....

I got three for 17. If got unlucky can always go for pint...!

You could just say that a friend/relative bought them for you as a present and they work for AEG but arent coming as it was a gift for you.

;-)Don't worry. If you're challenged just say you're a dyslexic AGE concern worker!

I attended last night. There were plenty empty seats.

What was the show like?

Yeah i went last night too. Good show. Like Dash said above, there were quite a lot of empty seats.

My mum managed to get tickets for £1 from work.... which was awesome. They were level 4 tier tickets, but for a quid... does it really matter?
When i got to the Arena, one of the O2 staff got into a conversation with me about O2 priorities and such, and said that as O2 customer we could use the O2 lounge, but it was under refurbishment, however if i texted Upgrade (plus the number of people with me) to 60202, i could win the chance to gain entry to the VIP lounge.... 30 secs later i get a text saying i won. So i went to the Concierge booth were the nice young lady gave us wrists bands, and asked us what our seat numbers were. After telling her they were LEvel 4... she kindly said she would upgrade to Level 1... no charge!!! AWESOME!!!!

So pretty good evening.... for a £1 a ticket :)

I just bought 2. There was no code required. Just select # of AEG Staff tickets and click submit. It took a few tries before I could find 2 tickets together in the lower bowl. Total including TicketFast email was £12.

can u get then at that price for next week too?

Do you guys really think this ticket will work? Won't be refused the entry and etc? As much as it will be embarassing, it will be a waste of time as it's a long journey for me.

But I really wanna go and see my all time favourte story!

What do you think?

If previous events are anything to go by the door staff couldn't care less and just scan the ticket barcode at the door and don't even read the fast-ticket printout in any great detail. Go for it guys and girls - this is a great deal.
#21
I know someone always says things like this, but surely this is just fraud.

Excellent! Thank you for the assurance.

I bought one ticket at £7.00. Amazing! :)

Hi

Does anyone know if there are age restrictions. Is it inappropriate for 3-4 year olds (mind you if it is an evening show, then academic as they will be in bed!), and if not what would you say the youngest age is as thinking of taking a motley crew... Thanks.

Erm, I’ve no idea if there’s age restrictions or anything like that but the Saturday night show doesn’t finish until 10.20pm.

Timings:

Doors open: 18:30
1st Half performance: 20:00 - 20:50
Interval: 20:50 - 21:20
Second half performance: 21:20 - 22:20

Yay I got 4 tickets in blk 112 (lower) and am taking my 6 and 7 year olds, they saw the advert on TV and really wanted to see it...just hope we get in, if not there's always the cinema!!
#26
Just picked up 4 for £22. Just hope they dont ask for proof of employment with AEG.

Many thanks to OP.

We've actually just moved offices right next to the O2 and there were loads of people milling around last night.

To be honest the place has been dead since the Bodyworks show ended. Getting a £5 / £7 ticket for tonight would have been ideal. Little bit unsure about the AEG staff member scenario though !!!

Just to warn folks - the O2 is aware of this thread.

Which means?

Do you work at the O2? :whistling:
#31
Surely it'd be better to have bums on seats & some revenue rather than a half empty house & no revenue. Not condoning it just thought it makes sense.

Oh No!!!!!!! We are all doomed!! :whistling:

If O2 are reading this thread then i think its only fair we all tell them how many empty seats there will be for tomorrows show if they decide to turn us all away.

I have 3 seats booked

the show is disastear according to reviews so everyone will be allowed... I bet will be half empty...

And your point is... To be honest having read this :whistling:http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/theatre/show-23621214-details/Ben+Hur+Live/showReview.do?reviewId=23745950 as well as the readers' reviews at the end of the article I bet 02 are drinking champagne as the heat rises on this thread. I'm still going even though "Ben Hur is as camp as a row of pink centurions":-D £5 for "risible scaffolding" is fine by me:thumbsup:.

Anyway, whenever Ticketmaster have had an offer you always have to enter a code. No code for an undersold event?:whistling: If 02 are aware they would have shut this 'loophole' down. £5 is better than £0. They'll make their money on rip-off drinks. Check out the bogof food vouchers to use at the 02 restaurants although some do say not on 02 Event Days http://www.vouchercodes.co.uk/restaurant-vouchers.html.

Print out the ticket T&Cs also. I can't see them turning away all of us - get there early. You'll spot the HUKDers as they'll be the ones with the T&Cs looking ever so apprehensive (me included) ;-)

Good luck

From the venue (and indeed probably the artist) point of view, bums on seats are valuable. It's demotivating for the performers if they're empty, and the venue gets an increased bar take from people thinking "ticket cost nothing, I'll buy a beer..."
#37
It looks like the AEG staff ticket option has been removed from the ticketmaster website. I just hope they honour my tickets. After reading the reviews I'm stoked to see the "Nonsensical: Pirates on Mad Max quad bikes"!

their mess up with website, there should be link given to aeg stuff only so they can book or they can book using some sort of code, it was taken now, they realized their mistake, tickets once been issued they are valid, seats are assigned and that's it, I went on Rockwell concert with cheap tickets and for Basketball ( 4 nation or something ) for free, system can't deny you entry I belive...
#39
There is only a small bit on the ticket that says it's a staff ticket so unless they are specifically looking for it, it won't jump out at them.
#40
I am in!

Tickets were barely even checked, looks like rumours of half empty stands were true...
