unless they messed up maybe, but i did see it on the shelf
#3
Sounds like another Matrix HD-DVD for £1 in Poundland scenario.
#4
Maybe they f***ed up and stickered it 129 instead of 229, but they definately said 129 on the box, both of them

Id buy one at that price just for the blu ray function for a bedroom!
#6
If they were that price. I'd go back and get one and put it on a card, because its worth an extra £50 easy profit.
#7
Just phoned them and they 2 have refurbs in stock. 80GB @ £249

And for that reason iam out
#8
the stickers said 129 on them, maybe you could argue it

Even though it said £129 they dont have to sell you it at that price. When something is mis-priced some shops might hounor it as a gesture of goodwill.
#10
or maybe the systems havnt updated yet. might be worth checking your local stores and see if you can get it at this price

Don't be silly. Only posting what he believes or what he saw. Happens a lot when people get rushed by the deal. Suspension shh..
#15
ok i guess your right, i got suspended a couple of times and it wasnt to good.

though if you did live in glasgow like the poster said. A 5 min walk away at 340 argyle st there is a shop that buys playstations etc off the public. Stand outside the door with a pocket full of cash and intercept any junkie looking guys going in with a bag undr their arm and you will get a ps3 cheaper than this no bother!

;)

Whoops lol. I cat find the UK page which covers it but in a nutshell you cant force a shop to sell you an item if they have underpriced. . There is no contract until it has accepted the cash. Before that point they can refuse (and if it is on the internet even if they have accepted that case, it can argue using the Law of Mistake that the transaction isn't finalised).
#20
no YOU can't force a shop to honour a misprice but trading standards have the power to fine a store £1000 for every item that is mispriced upto £10,000 IIRC so if they have 10 of them on a shelf mispriced then a £10,000 fine would be possible
#21
I did say you CANT force a store to honour a misprice.
#22
i know, i was agreeing with you but also pointing out that the fining thing is legit. most stores will honour misprices though.
