Probably worth waiting for a £300 dell deal that appear from time to time rather than go for a refurb with limited warranty, imperfections, and a company that may not be around in 3 months...just my 2p worth

Do you use one of these bought from SterlingXS? Do you really think buying a laptop with a faulty screen is a good deal MikeT? Not very clever at all in my opinion. Sure it's a Latitude, but not really a Hot Deal. More, how much these systems are actually worth - at most. Bad deal.

The screen is the one thing you can't change and the on thing you will be looking at all the time.

Sorry, bad deal.

Well we all have our own opinions dont we and I was considering it mainly as something that didnt cost much that could be used without too much worry of the cost involved should the kids break it, using it with an external screen is of course always an option and as a backup for getting you quickly online should your delsktop fail I thought it not a big outlay.
You feel its a bad deal, ok thats what the voting is for.

There are plenty of other deals available on the pages from that company who btw have been around for a number of years now, this post may bring up something else that you find more suited to your needs.
