You could easily get a pay as you go phone and sim only deal without being tied to any contract for that same price.

You can do this at O2, Phone is £450 as you say ... but comparable sim-only is £25pm = £600 Total £1050 (£43.75pm) Without having to find £450 up front.
So PAYG + SOonly deal is more expensive.

24 month contracts are a no go altogether for me though. £40 per month for 2 years is a long and costly commitment and is as good as borrowing. Just imagine losing your job and having to pay this.
The overall contract cost should only be marginally higher than what the phone is worth. Difference between the two in your deal is huge. These phones will be worth peanuts in 2 years and there will be even better tariffs around.
I would not buy one anyway, people are giving away ps3 and blu-ray players 32" tv's
Why would they not give a free i-phone if you are paying 40.00 p/m for 2 years.
Apple are a joke, yes good products, but they make you pay out the nose for them.

YES but your deal is a second hand phone, so knock off the price for that you'll get the same deal but without being tied to a 24 month contract.
God knows what'll happen in the next two years.

Show us better then :roll: You say most deals on virtually everything is rubbish. Come up with something creative, or even contribute in some way, if saying rubbish and putting peoples deals down all the time is all your capable of then I'm sure everyone will be glad to see you go and never post here again.
