If you know what you're buying you can get Core 2 Duo systems for less than this on ebay (you'll probably only get a few months of warranty). If you don't know what you're buying then you are much better off spending the extra for a new machine and a longer warranty from PC World.
Remember that you get a warranty for a "reasonable" length of time on items that you purchase and it's much more reasonable to expect a new machine to last longer than a refurbished one (i.e. you should reasonably expect a new machine to last for around 3 years, at a minimum, so you should, reasonably, expect a warranty to cover that).

Not too bad for 200quid including monitor although it's re-furbished. Just want to know what exactly the CPU is?

I got a second hand Dell Core2Duo on ebay for £100 with an E7400 processor 6 months ago. No monitor but you can get monitors cheap too. Has worked very well. The Athlon 64 is pretty old isnt it?

This looks like my Aspire X3200 with an Athlon 7450 processor (same RAM,hard drive, graphics) and the Acer X193HQ monitor. I bought my base unit for £240 about 8 months ago and the monitor cost £60 though they tend to sell for about £80. There were a number of similar base units produced though.

.

It is but this says "dual-core" so not as old as some A64's. It would be better if it listed exactly what processor though.

I am not sure if this is hot-ish or not, lol.

The dual core 64s are pretty old. To be honest you could get one of these on ebay second hand for about £70 without monitor easily.

good deal!

hate all this talk about ebay this and ebay that!

fact is a lot of thing could be bought from ebay- tvs, dvd players, plasma, cars, pretty much everything and pretty much at a knocked down price

but i for one trust littlewoods a lot more than an ebayer, with whom you have little or no comeback-should things fall through

so getting a decent spec PC with a monitor for just shy of £200 after quidco, from a recognised company, with the peace of mind 'just in case' etc
i for one would buy this

rated hot!

heres a link to an ebay daily deal! at almost double the price!
