Why is this cold, is there something I should know as I have been seriously considering the 8935 from simplyacer.com, but it has the Q9000 processor - how much faster realistically is that than this one?

I guess folks are put off by "refurbished" and "Vista" - these were a similar price new at Simply and Saveonlaptops recently (without the TV tuner) - still seems very good value to me.

I was seriously looking at the 8935g at Simplyacer / Saveonlaptops (the £700 500Gb version and £800 2x500, TV and BluRay writer version). I was put off by the Windows Vista and the hassle to upgrade to Windows 7; then a much cheaper Dell XPS came along at Dell outlet. I'm still wondering what it would be like to have all that screen - I need my glasses on when using the Dell (1080p on 15.6" is tight).

According to notebookcheck the Q9000 isn't that much faster than the T6600 and just a little slower than an i3-330. The 8935g got great reviews and looked a very nice bit of kit.

I have been looking at exactly the same laptops as you :) I want at least a 17" screen though as it will be used to watch DVDs (and/or Bluerays should I get one with a drive, not a dealbreaker though). Love the look of these 18" screens plus the sound system in them. Would purchase Windows 7 as I can't stand Vista. Tempted temped temped.
