Intel® Core™ i5-6400 processor Quad-core 2.70 GHz

Nvidia® GeForce® GTX 970 - 4GB VRAM

8 GB, 2133MHz DDR4 SDRAM

Storage : 2 TB HDD

OS: Windows 10

I purchased the same computer (bar the graphics card which is a GTX 950) on Black Friday for £449 here:

http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/acer-predator-g3-gaming-desktop-pc-g3-710-449-black-friday-2558506

I found this one on laptopsdirect yesterday (for £499) and has now gone down again to 358.97! It is refurbished but it's grade A1 so it can't be too bad I suppose?

If it was me I would cancel my order with Acer and buy it here, but you can only cancel within 30 minutes after placing the order. Refund process and sending it back to them seems like a hassle too.

I'm after a gaming pc for games like the sims 4 and planet coaster. I was thinking of building my own but didn't really know what to do. Does anyone know if this would be worth it just to play games like that? I would like to play ultra. any helps great thank you

This is a decent PC, I'd snap this up if I didn't already have a good rig. It should be capable running them games on Ultra settings.

Hi Shannon,

This will do exactly what you're after dependent on the resolution you play at. The graphics card is capable and the savings are excellent. You can't build this for the price.

Cheers.

I've had a look on the site Game Debate and it says Sims 4 will run perfectly smoothly on high settings, but I've just checked some vids on YouTube and it this does seem to run smooth on Ultra too. although it says Planet Coaster needs more RAM than 8GB. RAM is really easy to replace if you wanted to upgrade though! I changed the 8GB to 12GB and it says Planet Coaster would run on High/Ultra settings :)

Says 3 years warranty with it so I'm hoping they decent to deal with if I have any problems. Not an amazing machine but even pricing up basic bits and reusing parts from my old machine (HDD, SSD, Win 10 license, DVD writer) I was getting figures around £600 for what I wanted.

If I can get 3 years out of this for £120 a year job done.

Definitely a good deal either way mate. If a PC is going to go bad, it tends to be early on in my experience anyway.

Actually when I first bought my PC, it failed because the bank thought it was suspicious, so I had to order again :P You'll get charged for 1 most likely

It seems both my orders ended up going through as I received a email saying that they will take payment however confirm with my bank first then click on a link attached to the email so they can re-take payment.
