Was looking to get an iPad at a good price but all the sensibly priced new and refurbs that were available with the announcement of the iPad 2 have been snapped up now. So when I found this I was very pleased.

I'm assuming that as its an Apple refurb it will have a 1 year Apple warranty from the time you register it online, but won't know for sure till it arrives.

hope this helps someone else also looking for a cheap iPad refurb.

Don't forget you'll get a bit of cashback with Quidco also.

Same price on apple refurb store.

Not sure random eBay sellers are allowed on here either

Really? When they had them they were £289 and they haven't had any for a few days. The cheapest refurb is £389 at the Apple store for a 3G 16GB
I think this is more of an Ebay outlet. I thought they were allowed.

Glad someone else can read an ebay listing. Clearly mikerr has a faulty browser or should have gone to specsavers :)

I do find it strange that its been voted cold. I don't care. But I can't find anything close to this price anywhere else.

Good price for an Apple refurb item.
I'm far from being the biggest Apple fan for miles but i'd rather this than the Galaxy Tab for instance (and i *love* Android)

Yeh. I think that that is just a statement of their warranty. Apple typically provide 1 year warranty for their refurb iPads so I expect you get this, but as i said in the original posting, I won't know for sure till I receive mine.

For anyone who hasn't bought Apple products before, when you conenct it ot iTunes for the first time and register it it will start the Apple warranty.

This is really nice if you buy an unused Apple product such as an iPhone even from a private seller on say eBay, because you still get a full warranty even if you weren't the original purchaser.

Looks good to me!!

Can't see any 16G ones at the Apple store at the moment but if the £289 price is to be believed then this deal is cold. Won't vote though as, as I say, cannot see a 16G one at Apple at the minute.

Not as good as buying from Apple as this only has 90-days warranty, but the 'official' refurbished iPads carry 1-year warranty. The latter is worth an extra £10 IMO.
#16
Refurb by seller only 90 warranty shame currys sold out 16gb refurbs but got 32gb at 349 still good
#17
+ 1 on the warranty - better to buy from Apple. Seeing as Ive just returned two ipad 2s and one ipad1 64gb all for light bleed issues.

Bought one from each of these companies in the last month or so. Digigood sold me a used US model which had about 9 months left on the proper Apple warranty in a slightly used iPad box. Came with a bad plug adapter. The Apple refurb came in a nice (but plain white) box, everything completely as new, just like a brand new one and had the full year Apple warranty. It was a joy to open, shrink-wrapped too. To be honest for only a £10 difference, this is a no-brainer!
I really doubt the Apple stock is used at all, I think they are just running down old stock, but I could be wrong.

Why not just get it replaced by Apple?

Didn't want it anyway.. pile of cr*p if you ask me, and i'm no apple hater nor a fan, i have an iphone.. i have a PC.

But too me, £600 on a piece of glass and metal that does less than a net book at £200 is pretty silly.. was an impulse buy, tried it - didn't like it.

Hi kebabjones. Check out what warranty you have by going to

https://selfsolve.apple.com/agreementWarrantyDynamic.do

Simply type in the serial number to see what is covered under the warranty. I use this all the time. Apples warranty is pretty good and of course is easy to upgrade, anytime before your original warranty expires, with the AppleCare plan.

Not a rip off at all, the price they had them at before was below the market value.
