Note the advertised prices do not include VAT. Add that in as well as P&P and its a worse deal than the Dell laptops posted on another thread (Brand new, much better spec for £327 delivered).

Just remember that these come with 3yrs dell on site warranty where the new offers are always reduced to minimum warranty, so there are deals and deals ;-)

1 x , (L162) Dell Inspiron 6400 (Centrino) Intel Duo T2300 1.66ghz 1024mb/80gb/15.4" Wide XGA Screen/DVD-RW Drive/128mb ATi Radeon X1300/Wireless Network/Windows XP Home SP2

£375

BARGAIN with dedicated graphics like that, thanks! (and yes this was the last one)

I personally would recommend against those XGA screens due to seriously lOw desktop space making them quite awkward and horrible to use.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Video_Standards.svg

XGA 1280x800 = 1mp
SXGA: 1280x1024 = 1.3mp
WXGA: 1680x1080 = 1.6mp
WUXGA: 1920x1200 = 2.3mp

I would recommend SXGA at the bare minimum, but since most stuff is Widescreen now, I suggest WXGA minimum.
#12
There's some good stuff there, but also look at Dell's own outlet store.
#13
Remember the amounts are PLUS VAT.
#14
Also add postage but prices are good considering Dell laptops are tough... and good value for money.

WXGA would be bloody painful on the eyes on a 15.4" panel so I don't know why you can possibly recommend that.

Maybe on a laptop with a 17" screen but not everyone wants a laptop that large....

Yeah, I have a 1280x800 15.4" laptop and I'm not sure I'd even want a higher res.

It's also the perfect res for most high def video and scales to an exact number of pixels for most emulators so they look superb too.
