nice spot but is there going to be any warranty with this?

All XPS has business level support, meaning next day site visit and access to the irish call centre not the indian one, iirc.

There is also the possibility that you will be eligible for the 720 upgrade program details are http://direct2dell.com/one2one/archive/2007/08/13/24557.aspx

I have just bought a 700 from another reseller and that has been accepted for the upgrade.

It has come with 3 yrs NBD warranty.

Even refurbs, happy to be corrected here though.

But as I understand it, it'll have the minimum XPS 3 years support meaning it has 3years of support from when it was originally purchased and registered I think.

I doubt it's more than 4-6months old, so it should be possible to register it in your name, once you confirm the details on the desktop and call dell etc, and have the other 2years+ in YOUR name.

Be aware that Dell XPS warranties fluctuate somewhat...there was a period when they were only offering 12 months with their XPS 710's...I know I have one....more often than not it has been 2 years standard.
Seems to be 1 year at the moment

I would suggest a call or email to aria before purchase to confirm warranty as it may just be with them for warranty and not Dell.

i am sorry to say, but isn't it way overpriced?

the processor isn't very good, hard drive space is only ok, ram is good... so over all it seems to be an ok system. Or am i missing something vital? - for 720 pounds you can get an excellent Dell machine, may be the Dimension range - why is this one so expensive?

The XPS is their top gaming machine. The machine is much bigger than the dimensions. The power supply is 750w, the case is brushed aluminium, there are multiple HD slots and power connectors, two graphic card slots for SLI. The processor can be overclocked, it is a different beast with bags of potential for expansion and upgrades.

have to agree the cpu isnt what i expect of a so called gamers machine and as said HD is ok,ram and card are very gd,but for ova 700 notes is too pricy imo
