Comes with 12 months warranty just the same. Anyone had tvs from these before? Have they been refurbs or catalogue returns etc?

Mine arrived today in a battered box so deffo returned/refurbed.

Tv works fine and not a bad picture either but the dvd player is faulty so looks like it needs returning, damn.:x

what are halfcost like at returns/refunds?

Hope yours is fine too. Its a nice looking tv too with a nice picture. Just a shame the dvd is faulty as it was a pressie also for in laws caravan so dvd is needed.

Hope they take it back ok without a fuss.

They should take it back as you're still covered by consumer law.
Pity though as you'll only get a refund and not a replacement.

Halfcosts customer service is a tad slow as still no reply to email regarding it being faulty. No telephone number either which is a bit poor.

Looks like it.
Mine came, DVD works, SD card doesn't and TV says "No reception".
Works ok through the Freeview recorder that she has so she's keeping it.
Going to look into the extended Grundig warranty and if necesary, claim on that in a year. ;-)

Will make me think twice about HalfWit again though.

Very poor customer service and no tel number. I will be amazed if I get a refund and if I do I bet it will be weeks. Not a company I will rush to use again for sure.

Finally had an email from Customer Services on Sunday. They are sending a courier to collect the faulty TV within 2-5 days. They wont replace or repair. Shame as I wanted two the same for my kids.....

Same here but it is a shame they cant give a day when collecting as sitting in all week while my lad is on holiday is a bit of a pain.

Are you sure the DVD is faulty? It only works if you switch the Input to DVD. It took a while for me to figure it out....

Yeah I am sure. Switch to dvd and sometimes get the grundig splash screen and sometimes a garbled mess. Put a disc in and sometimes it takes and others not. Then it goes all blocky and will not play. Then it will not eject the disc and have to turn it off several times and just wait as it eventually spits the disc out with force and flies right out onto the table, lol:p

Do not buy anything from Halfcost. We were delivered this faulty item which they eventually collected but after 3 weeks we still have not received credit for it! NEVER AGAIN!
