Excellent deal I think. Ordered a green one. Though my opinion could change if it gets here and doesn't work!

I've had a refurb nano before from apple and it was perfect, couldn't tell tell it from new and still working perfectly 4 years later.

Hi,
Does this come with a year warranty? Thanks.

"Covered by Apple's One-Year Limited Warranty"

It's all on the Apple page if you had cared to follow the go to deal link.

dont feel too bad i personally think getting an itouch for £50 more is more worthwhile...can do so much more with it

theres always 8gb's on offer, never 16gb's.

I've got an iphone 3gs 32gb and a water damaged touch that i've been meaning to get sorted, but they're both to bulky for the gym and the screen screams crack me around free weights as I found out with my n95 8gb's screen-sad day!
#10
I have bought this model from Apple before. You would never know its refurbished.
#11
Sorry to be a skeptic but I've never really seen the point of the nano... might as well get the touch as normally it's only £30 more.

That said, this is a very good price and I might get one.

bought a silver 8gb nano (current generation) on tuesday afternoon and it arrived on wednesday morning. shipped from ayrshire someplace. there were loads of 16gb nanos for £115 earlier in the week.

although the deal is showing as expired i would keep an eye on the website later. i don't know what apple do with their website at night but all stock seems to disappear for some reason (stock taking?).

i have an iphone but have recently taken up running. i don't really like taking the phone out with me so the nano was ideal and i had no need for an ipod touch.

Available again!

back in stock...and ordered, went for the 8gb black-thanks op!

Don't foget 4% Quidco which works out as £3.20.

Have never understood why people would go for a nano when a Sandisk Sansa Fuze is so much better, while being cheaper.

One for the fanboys I suppose.
#17
Resale value perhaps

jesus it makes you wonder how much apple makes on these refurb models; making nearly double the money on the same model...

some day steve jobs will die without the steady aid of every conceivable organ from donors and when that day comes. I'am gona be the first person dancing on his grave, i hope to see a few of you there;-)

The £79 price tag seems to be the standard price for a "non brand new" Nano and imo is another indication that Apple are price fixing their products across the board.

Last year we bought three 4G Nanos from Toys r Us for our kids Xmas presents for £79 each. They were all unused / new but had been reduced due to them being last year's model. I've since seen similar deals for 4G Nano's at other retailers such as Halfords that were also selling for £79 and now this deal for the same price too.

Seems like £79 is the compulsory price for a "non brand new" iPod Nano. Whether it be a re-con 5G or an unused 4G.

So Apple is a profit-making business that offers a non-essential item, and doesn't force you to buy it or any of it's products, and you have this much hatred. Celebrating someone's death, especially someone who has made a contribution and bought much enjoyment to others, doesn't strike me as very mature.

Let it go, and don't let it bother your existence. And no, I am not one of the apple fanboys, just a slightly nicer human being!

can you go running with the Sandisk Sansa Fuze?
I've an iPod classic and is too big for that.

They have been this price for months. Apple basically refurbishes them to new condition, replacing the shell if it was scratched or damaged on return.
#25
if you like your music loud dont bother with this

I don't think the current generation has been this price. I've only seen the previous gen.

perhaps there is paranoia as to what might happen during the night - pricing errors etc. is this the 'curse of HUKD?'

speaking of which, ever noticed how HUKD deals and posts seem to pause overnight? i appreciate most users are snuggled in bed rather than voting hot etc, but still you would think there would be more action...

Personally I've yet to find an mp3 player that manages to be as compact as an ipod yet manages to keep enough functionality so that I dont have to wait for the damn menu to catch up to what I want it to do.

Its all about opinion i suppose, and I do hate apple just as much as Dell for overpricing products to extortionate amounts, but other than their ipod range, their products are basically for rich people and those who dont realise you can build your own mac for 1/4 of apple's price.

Why pay £30 more for a product you don't need?

I would probably still have bought my nano even if it was the same price as a touch. I use mine when training and a touch is too big.

Have bought the purple onefor the enemy's birthday.

Cheers OP. You've just saved me £40. Was going to buy from Argos.

Heated and repped.

Thanks OP. Just bought one for my wife who wants to learn German and listen to podcasts. She also wants it for the simple to use / upload video camera. Seems like a great little gadget - shame there are so many people willing to knock it - especially at this price. I had an original 3rd gen ipod that complete but was not working and I still managed to sell it on eBay for £20, so Apple gadgets do work out as good value overall.

Last year's iPod nano, 16GB for £99

Current Gen iPod Nano, 16GB, £115

For those getting a Nano, there are lots of covers in Poundland for them at the moment (including a Hello Kitty one!), at least there is in Glasgow! Happy listening.

I never had any problems with my Fuze (other than losing it). Menu system was fine and plenty quick enough, and functionaity? Played MP3's perfectly, something iPods are built for, don't do very well (talking about audio quality here obviously).
I bet there's thousands of people out there who have only ever had iPods, and haven't even bothered trying out the superior alternatives purely to due Apples marketing expertise.
But if people put a slightly quicker menu system ahead of audio quality, that's their choice.

I've never seen an advert for Cowon, but I know their S9 puts any iPoop to shame. As do offerings from the likes of Sony, Samsung and Sandisk.
