all depends on what your needs are from a laptop. you might wanna elaborate

This is a silly question and I'm almost sure the answer is no, but worth asking! Anyone know if theres way to use an agros gift card on their ebay store? :P

I have the Miix 8 and it's decent enough, but then again I picked mine up used, mint, on ebay for under £40! This comes with the "proper" keyboard though.
It's not a laptop by any means but it'll just about keep up with some of the cheap chromebooks, performance wise (it's only running an atom - the same as mine). If you just need it for browsing then it should do the job, but I'm not sure at this price point - there are lots of older tablets out there...
I picked up a bluetooth keyboard with a trackpad that supports 2 finger scrolling etc for a tenner on ebay - works great with my Miix 8!

similar in hardware to the linx.

I terms of performance it's a bit crap..
but it's not always a case of oh well it's half the price and half the performance so thats fine then. sometimes it's just unusable and value for money argument goes out the windows.

P.s. I bought my linx 10 for simple emails and browsing and I had very low expectations.... unfortunately not low enough it seems.

I have to ask myself if it were that great why would there be so many refurb units? Cheap for a reason?

I took mine back as the screen was very wobbly and would break the contacts with the dock.

These are excellent tablets. Lets you do most things you do on a laptop on this light weight and small form factor.

Obviously its not a super powerful one, so keep your expectations right and use it for browsing 3-4 tabs at a time, play videos, listen to music, play games, stream to tv, connect directly to tv, watch netflix or now tv or about anything that runs on a browser. If google changes the format of youtube videos in future, hell it will still run it all unliike other OS's :)

Got one last week and am absolutely in love with it.

So Super HEAT from me.

May I ask what model linx 10 you are using? I've run 4GB ram wifi survey programmes on mine with no issues whatsoever I'm interested as I dont know what you are on about...

i just wanted it for basic browsing, YouTube and email. I did buy the origami keyboard version which stopped working. it did update to Windows 10 which was an Improvement, but not enough.

windows 10 tablets may play up sometimes. my friend recently picked one up and when buttery died you weren't able to switch it back on even after recharging. had to do hard reset every time. guy at the shop told him it's a common issue with win 10 tablets and it's better if you use it with charger plugged in lol

I have the Yoga 2 which is rarely used and noticed the screen is gradually becoming increasingly unresponsive. Not sure why and Lenovo couldn't give a rats **** even though I've offered to pay for a diagnostic..

Really? I never had any issues with any of those. As I said, I trialled it with WiFi survey software and it worked fine. Even the 3D modeler software works smooth.

Its ok but getting a bit long in the tooth. Had mine fir 2 years am just starting to feel a bit slggish. Ok for internet, using it for office docs and media playback.

These are perfect specs... For a Chromebook.

I did order a return this a few months back, found it had way too much lag.

I don't think I'd want to run the full desktop version on it, but the windows store version would run just fine.

Though this depends entirely on how large your spreadsheet is.

This is not 1080p screen version.

Firstly, there is no 1080P screen version of the MIIX 310, and secondly no one has claimed that this is 1080P

Totally different products. Would you sacrifice androids play store apps? The high resolution screen? The build quality?

Yeah that's a good price for an S2. This Lenovo tablet isn't like for like though. The screen isn't as good, it won't feel as well built and importantly it's windows rather than android. Windows is a good laptop operating system with touch support, but it's not as good as android to use as a tablet and there are less applications available through the windows store than the android play store.

This is a good product for this low a price, but if you're happy with your galaxy I wouldn't worry about it.

True, but IMO slightly irrelevant when you are talking about a windows machine running a proper x86 processor. There are literally millions of applications that run on Windows.

That said I have the old Miix with the hi-res screen but I much rather have the S2 if I just wanted a tablet.

For all those who say that a 2gb, 1.8 ghz processor, 32 gb hdd runs well, i but ask one question.

How many of you have ever owned a good spec laptop or tablet.

Indeed I do currently and have previously to both however this isnt a good spec and isnt designed for high end work. What your point my friend?

Could this do basic office work, play android games and play movies from a plex server?

you will need to install office, it has windows so no android store, unless you want to install an android emulator, Plex client is available for Windows and should work great with your Plex server

I had one of these. It was terrible. Not enough power to use as a laptop, the touchpad was rubbish, it felt flimsy, and Windows is hopeless in touchscreen mode. Get an Chromebook, Android tablet or iPad instead, or a fully functioning Windows laptop with proper hard drive etc.
#35
I have a Toshiba click which is virtually identical to this in spec, though the Toshiba has a higher res screen.
It isn't fast but for general stuff it's ok, I even work from home (remote access) with it and plug a monitor into the HDMI.

I have a Windows 2 in 1 and an android tablet. I pretty much only use the 2 in 1 as a touch screen laptop mostly with Windows desktop apps as you say.

For tablet usage I go with android, windows just doesn't have enough tablet style apps.

And if I'm honest even android is second to Apple for tablet apps.

I have one of these it is fine for everyday browsing, watching videos and some gaming too.
However be wary using firefox on it as for some reason firefox causes mine to crash, all other browsers are fine including palemoon which is based on firefox lol.
But other than that it does everything i need it to do and you can expand the storage with a micro sd card.

My link 10 works great for what i need it for. It streams vids, plays music, can run a few google chrome tabs, some store games and the battery lasts longer than any laptop ive ever used....
The ONLY moan about it is the touchpad is terrible. Not a massive issue as the keyboard works great, and you can use the screen instead of the mouse....

I do mate.

Now i ask you one question - How much did you buy the good spec laptop for!!! That's the deciding factor here and the convenience of small form factor :)

Does it come with Stylus? I am looking for a cheap tablet for taking notes. Any suggestion?
