Refurbished Macbook Pro 13" - £639.00 @ Dixons

I was looking for a good deal on a macbook pro and came across this. It is a 13" mid 2010 model Macbook pro with all the specs you would expect. I am on a bit of a budget at the moment and was switching from a macbook pro 17 inch from 2007, so figured it was a good deal.

Apples cheapest refurb model of same specs etc is currently £799.

Unfortunately, they have a load of better looking deals "15 inch for 999!" but the site will not allow you to check out. The one I have posted works.

Not for everyone as I know that not everyone loves a Mac but for me ideal.

20% off is automatically discounted when you check out.

Yeah, Macbooks are expensive but I found my old model worth every penny and the cheapest other refurb I can find is on Apples site at £799 or on ebay (which I prefer not to use due to a few bad experiences) Not for everyone though I understand :)

Have you ever made a useful comment throughout your whole time on this site?

This is a decent price in my opinion seeing as you get the aftercare but Dixons are very bad at customer care so would think twice.

I got my i3 iMac from dixons last time they ran this promotion. The machine was immaculate but it turned up in a brown bow which reduces it's resale value when you upgrade later.

hate to say but i agree with horace on this one oO you can get similar specs for alot cheaper brand new or for the same price a more superior piece of kit. apple products are usually overpriced but they do look amazing and the quality of the products are usually great. if you want this specific laptop then yes this is a good price. also apple products hold their value well.

I run CS4/5, Maya and Final Cut on my macbook pro. In my studio we also have top end Toshiba and HP laptops running Windows 7, that I just don't trust to do such processor heavy tasks.

If I was shopping now, trying to find (as you say) a more superior piece of kit (that runs windows) that can handle all that I personally throw at my mac, I would struggle to be happy with something at the same price as this.

Is anyone else having trouble trying to order one. Whenever I go to open one of the links it just opens the list page again. Can someone else try this out to see if it is just me!

I've found that if it goes back to the list page, it means they don't have any stock. It just takes some time to disappear from the list page. It's not on the list page now either.

I've always found great bargains with Dixons refurbs, and everything's been in mint condition, so still worth a look around.

I also bought an iMac i3 from them. It was mega scratched, 3 dead pixels and arrived in the brown box. No probs returning though.
