I 'bought' this same Cello TV from them around 4 weeks ago, as did another HUKD member. Money was taken immediately and both of us were sent an e-mail with a tracking number to say it was despatched. After a few days with no information on the shipping site with the tracking number supplied we became concerned and contacted the delivery company who confirmed that the tracking number we had been given didn't exist.

I sent several e-mails to Halfcost and they kept insisting that the TV had been sent, blaming everyone but themselves. Following the second e-mail reply from them, all subsequent e-mails were returned to me as being undeliverable, due to the domain name not existing. There is no phone number on the website - one is floating around on a Google search, but it's permanently engaged. I sent them a further e-mail from an alternative address and this was delivered successfully. I can only infer from this that they were deliberately blocking my e-mail address to avoid dealing with me in an attempt to keep the money.

After 10 days or so I lost patience and reported Halfcost to Visa for fraud, as they were repeatedly lying to both of us and the tracking numbers were false. I finally got a refund after three weeks, once Visa got involved and Halfcost admitted that the TV's were never sent.

I'd avoid this company like the plague. Low prices are all very well, but these people provide the worst customer service I have ever experienced - little more than crooks. Order from them at your own risk. A quick Google search reveals many other customers with problems getting money back. Even if you get the TV good luck getting anything sorted if it doesn't work.

This company will not allow cancellations once an order has been placed you have to accept delivery, then arrange a collection, and as for getting a refund, well dont get me started on that one! you have been warned!

Majority of the stuff sold out now, doesn't include any monitors so not that fussed anyway.

Good feedback and insight. Thanks for taking the time to share. Glad you got the matter resolved in the end. May save many of us going through the same pain. Have some rep.

No cancellations, no phone number, painful/convoluted refund procedure. Not for me.

You are paying £57 more just to have new a false enonomy IMO, the ones from Half cost are catalogue returns, they order something dont like it and send it back, exactly what happens at Argos where they resell the returns but dont offer a discount !

Mine has arrvied today from HalfCost, its brand new still has stickers on the screen etc, works perfect, just need a wall mount anyone know of and good deals ?
#34
i can only see one small scratch on the side of mine barely noticable only saw it coz i studied it
works perfect too

Not happy. I set it up earlier and everything worked fine, now the bloody DVD player won't work. Tried 8 different dvds but it still won't read it. Contacted, via email, so fingers crossed.

Try running a dvd cleaner through it, might be a dirty lens
