Fantastic tablets. Better screen than most and decent battery life. Hot from me .

Many of the newer models are not as good as the Nook HD ( if you want a larger tablet the HD+ is a better buy though ). The screens on these are exceptionally good and the battery life is brilliant. You don't have to turn these fully off to save battery - they last a couple of weeks in standby ( unlike most Chinese tablets that empty their battery in a day even if not used ).
Don't fall for the quad core is better rubbish. There is good reason these Nook HD tablets are well liked ( especially if you put Cyanogen android on them)

trust me, I'm not saying they are not great and I had cyanogenmod on mine, it was awesome....however, not many people in reality are going to want to invalidate the warranty on their unit or mess around to get it on there in the first place. It was great in its day, just saying things move on

Two things that I have problems with, with Kitkat installed:
Sometimes the screen blanks immediately after I enter the pin, and will either do that ad infinitum, or will do it a couple of times before unlocking. The only way if it keeps happening is to reboot the tablet.

The second thing is that the wifi stops working after a sleep, when the tablet is switched back on and the pin is entered. Only thing to do here is turn wifi off and then back on again.
