Couldn't find much in reviews for this, but someone who was selling one said the weight is 2.1 kg which is pretty light. Also this was sold by Aldi in Ireland (not sure about here) for 1099 euro's january 2006. Shame there is no informaiton on battery life, or a greater warrenty given as 90 days is not much. Good find all the same.

Lots of info in German, seems they sold well there at 780 euro's

Nice looking Laptop.

Beware Medion Support. Porbably about the worst Customer Service Ive ever faced. IMO totally disinterested staff and very long queues to get through.

And now those faults will have been fixed. But refurbished in 90% of most cases does not mean second hand. In the majority of cases refurbished means that these have been built and have either gone to the shops or the warehouse and a fault was discovered within a certain batch number,

They then recall that batch fix the fault and sell it as refurbished at a knock down price. I for one would never have second thoughts about buying refurbished. If it's going to work for 90 days then you will be unlucky if it does not last you it's expected life expectancy.

For anyone wanting a true protable notebook then this is a great buy. Especially with the add-on digital tuner.

Great post.

i do remeber looking at that laptopp and it does look the biz however that 90 day warranty bit off putting as aldi were originally offering 3 year warranty with these laptops being refurb job would expect 6 month or year warranty ....just me thoughts! kind of tempted thou

Yeah, this is temting for a decent spec portable machine.

But with only a 90 day garantee leaves it very vunarable. Is there any way to get extended warranty on the cheap?
