ok price but 3 months warranty isnt very good at all
price is good , but because of the warranty I shall pass. don't trust these little buggers . I think they brake down easily.
Very old spec.
am I right to think that all of the refurbs come only with 3months ?

Well, I don't know about that.
It would be a fair statement to say that any P.C/laptop that joins my personal tribe is in for a hard life.
Amongst the tech clutter I have owned 2 nettys. One an Acer the other this Sammy, both were refurbs.
Given that I have used them continually for much more than mere browsing. I continue to admire their sheer resilience.
To be honest I think the Atom platform is tech sound. I think physical weakness in the construction are more prevalent than component failure.
Within the confines of what it is realistically capable of, this is a good machine for a good price.
In terms of old tech, the n2** platform trails behind the newer n4** platform by almost (if not completely) imperceivably small margins in real world, day-to-day norms.
You would most likely require the D5** D/C or SU series of processors to appreciate any type of "speed" gain.

Buy this and stick a small SSD in it for a genuinely pleasing experience with word processing, browsing etc.
I also have some extremely fast kit, so have some frame of reference regarding performance spectrums.

Yes, it's old, but in terms of quality, I have been using one for 10hrs a day for the last 18 month's and it performs really well.

If you can wait AMDs Fusion platform looks very promising. A real Atom/SU crusher with competent on-board graphics.
This will be AMDs low-end alternative to Atom, and has it beat across the board by an order of magnitudes.
Good value, spec should work well for normal business use and web as an auxiliary to main pc - maybe add an extra GB of RAM and be sure to uninstall any pre-installed trial applications. Don't need Windows 7 for this kind of use (I use Win 7 and XP every day pretty well all day and on the whole prefer XP). Not sure why you'd need more than 3 months warranty. Anything that doesn't fail in the first couple of weeks will probably last. However if you need a netbook for leisure use I guess you'll maybe want the fastest and shiniest and this probably isn't for you.
i bought one of these a few years ago it was one of the first netbooks with a decent size hard drive , and it did its self proud it was used for over a year as the house main computer and was used constantly for a lot more than surfing it performed a lot better than i thought it would, its still going strong now as an auxiliary, im no tech head and it is a little dated but for the price its a not a bad buy
