I wonder if everyone else is thinking that...

'Upgrade'?

It's definitely an upgrade. The difference in screen isn't what everyone bigs up. If you haven't had both side by side, which I have, you can't comment. End of the day the slim is lighter, nicer to hold and most importantly has about 25% more battery. It's a portable console so battery is the key!

Go for the oled one, way way better and they have stopped making them now.

How are Tesco selling used ones? Are they just returns?

other than the screen, no actual hardware changes between them, no ??

Built in 1Gb of memory in the new one, and standard MicroUSB charging cable. Also has longer battery life, LCD instead of OLD screen, re-sized rear touch pad, and lighter to hold. I still prefer the screen on the old one, and this new one looks and feels cheaper if I am honest. Just my 2 cents though.

Just to add the 1gb of memory gets made redundant when you put in a memory card.

Could this be the start of the Tesco closing down sale?

Is there any difference with the stability of the network connection for remote play or are they pretty much the same?

Slim is much better than OLED. Great deal.

That's funny, been this price for a month...Soon as it's listed on here, all gone in a couple of hours :)

Much prefer a slim, not sure why Sony decided the first model should *not* charge by the one standard connector used on pretty much every one of the billion or so smartphones out there. Crazy.

The benefits of the slim model far outweigh the OLED version.

Plus the screen on the OLED version wasn't really all that. Impossible to see in sunlight, it used a plastic cover instead of the gorilla glass on the slim model so felt dirt cheap, build quality was poor in general, screen had horrible stains from the adhesive when used in dark rooms (where OLED is supposed to be better, nonetheless).

I'd happily take the slightly less saturated screen for the better build quality, better battery life, micro usb, improved ergonomics and buttons, and best of all it just downright looks better. Plus 1GB of built in memory for people still living in the stone age :3

Had both versions, got the Amazon.de mega pack one for £88 b4 Xmas.

Still have the OLED model, sold the slim to a friend because I preferred the original.

I may have to look at a slim especially as I rate the build quality and screen pretty damn good on the original. if this is now even better I might just snap a slim up.

I might just snap a slim
i wouldn't, that will almost certainly void your warranty... :|

The screen debate generally is out of control. You're looking at a 5" screen, which means any real benefit from the OLED screen is fairly insignificant anyway. The improvements in the slim model easily outweigh the almighty OLED of the PCH1000 model, and even then, the LCD is pretty impressive.

It sold out who cares. Looks like the ones who liked it got a bargain!

Dont think you'll see a vita for £60 anywhere. Still managed to sell my og on ebay for 100 quid over the Christmas period.
