any good? Need a freeview box with hdmi
Can't see DivX mentioned anywhere ????
Good find I'll be going out there tomorrow for one of these!
Looks good.
Been looking for DVD Upscalers recently and only the cheapest ones are this price, and it seems with Upscalers the cheaper the brand, the worse the upscaling quality. Toshiba in my books is a pretty big brand. DVD-Recording and Freeview is a plus too.
More info here - seems to have DivX

Good reviews on reevoo.
bloody bargain if you ask me, especially if you can pick it up
If you live in Manchester that is.
Still worth it even with the postage, I ordered one.
Having just spent some time browsing the web and reading the pdf manual for this I have just bought, from the same seller, via that auction site and Paypal.

I am expecting it to be delivered in a chauffeur driven Limo.............!

This should be the Bee's Knee's.
Play are selling them new for 3X this price-I ain't too proud to buy refurbished.

Thanks OP,some heat and rep. coming at you.
Does this record to dual layer dics ?

The reason i ask is that i dont know how much i can record at high quality or standard quality on a 4.5 gb disk.

cheers guys
Found a useful, more in-depth review here:

That indicates that 'no' is the answer to dual-layer discs, meaning you can record from 1 hour to 8 hours depending oin which of its speeds you use (with obvious respective reductions in quality). Still a great price though, considering you'd probably pay approaching this much for an upscaling player, never mind a recorder.
Does anyone know of a region hack for this model?
Does anyone know of a region hack for this model?

This site states its multi region. In title.
 Hi all, not tried this yet but here is the hack for opening the region codes -
First open the disc tray with the remote, then press home.
You will see the DVD recorder screen
highlight disc tray
enter 0086000 using the numbers on the remote
'reg free' should then appear on the display
close tray using remote
you should now be region free
(found on another website but I cannot find it again to credit the person)
:? sorry everybody tried this at home last night and its for the wrong machine !

This site states its multi region. Stated In the title.

Is this site wrong then?
Anyone had theirs delivered yet?
yep, quite a good deal if you ask me, bit temperamental on some of my mp3 encodes, but a great device for the price (plus it matches my desk and my 23" which sits on top of it :p )
