Thought it was time this got a re-post now back instock last posted over a month ago by me

The Toshiba DR17DT is a great value DVD Recorder with integrated Freeview tuner, HDMI connectivity with video upscaling and a coaxial digital output.

The easy to use DR17DT features a 7 day Electronic Programme Guide (EPG) which lets you browse the coming week's schedules for all Freeview channels and also allows simple timer recording - just highlight a programme in the guide and, within a couple of clicks on the remote, your recording is scheduled and will start automatically. You can even record from external sources such as Sky or Sky+ boxes via the DR17DTs scart socket.

Not just a recorder but a fantastic player too, the Toshiba will upscale video to 1080p, 1080i or 720p via HDMI - for the sharpest and cleanest image on your HD ready television. Your DVDs and recordings will look better than ever before.

The DR17DT really is a high quality DVD recorder with a great feature count and superb performance.

Please note this product is factory graded by manufacturer qualified engineers and has a 1 year guarantee and a 7 day no quibble returns policy

Refurbished? Which means returns, etc - why? As they have lots for sale it does make you wonder what the problem is with them!

;-) I bought one and it didn't read some disks so I returned it within a week and changed it for another that worked OK :) cannot find any hacks for it to play any other disks other than region 2 which can be a pain. cheers - Stuart.

typical non-refurb price = £89ish delivered as compared to £48ish delivered for the OP refurb model.

edit:
Play appear to have sold out of the non-refub £89 new models, but PlayTrade will offer you a refurb @ £48.24 from Electrical-Deals no less, yet the Electrical-Deals site is now showing zero stock.
seems Electrical Deals appears to prefer to sell its products via 3rd-party sites rather than its own.

Half price for a damaged box... Seems fair :whistling:

Looks good on paper for the price so hopefully they won't be returned and unfixed. Heated!
