Good price as core with 1 wired controller is selling for around £120, and you get an 2 year extended warranty instead of one, 2 wireless controllers instead of one wired controller and a decent game for £20 cheaper.

2 years and refurbished is a better than 1 year and new in my opinion as they may go wrong with in a year and you get a refurb one anyway, and this deal you have more time guarantee.

I am going in tomorrow so will get pics then for proof.

if you could get one with, easy to mod drive would be good to buy flash and flog on ebay. Assuming they havnt already been modded resealed with security seal and banned from LIVE

hmm I can't decide whether to get one or not. My xbox has had the RROD for the second time and finally died and I can't be bothered to repair it again. Why would these be refurbished? if it was to repair the RROD then I don't think I would take the chance and would rather source a new console that is less prone to this problem... hmm don't know what to do as I don't want to spend £150 on a new.
Is the warranty with game or microsoft?
#14
You can't be bothered to send it off for free? Sounds weird to me.
#15
I can't send it off as it was an original console so is out of warranty. I also bought it from ebay and it has a broken seal and flashed drive so I don't think Microsoft would be happy anyway.
#16
no assurances, but most of these are actually falcons or jaspers as the motherboards are replaced when fixed
(They could be opus boards, check for HDMI)

Even the origianl xboxs are still under warranty as MS extended it by an extra 2 years for RROD problems. My chump of a mate sent his 360 back flashed but Microsoft still sent him a fixed one back! Worth a punt I would say!

sounds like a bargain to me :) £30 cheaper, a free game and 2 years warranty. plus if its a refurb chances of getting RROD are quite unlikely. voted hot

Does this have HDMI?
#20
It's a repaired second-hand unit that could be three years old already. Not my idea of a bargain at all given the history of these things. More information required I think. Stone cold as is.

Be interesting to know how old the consoles are that they are peddling
#22
does this come with a hard-drive?

i thought the arcade was the only 360 that didnt have one.....?

how can it be "stone cold" when you dont even know the date of the console they are selling. Plus there is 2 year warranty included!!!?

No it doesnt come with a hard-drive just 256mb memory card.

if i was in the market for one i would ask for one with HDMI. if you get one of those you will have a newish board at least.

none of these will be flakey rrod repairs. every rrod gets the entire mobo, gpu and processor replaced, so actaully had the console have rroded in the past it is a good thing as it means the main guts of it have been replaced.

PS the pic on the deal is of a premium/pro with wireless pad. if this isnt the case maybe it should be replaced as is misleading imo.

personally not voting either way, i would pay a little extra for new, but if really on a budget its not so bad a deal.

Got the last one from the Weymouth store yesterday - absolute bargain! I'd been holding out on a 360 until a decent deal came along and this was it! Thanks to the original poster.

I don't know if there's any variance across stores, but mine was an HDMI arcade version. Game are also doing a second hand 20GB console with no extras for £99 as well, but I think this is definitely the better deal as I see 20GB xbox drives going cheap on ebay all the time.

Now, where's a fantastic deal on Resident Evil 5......?

Misleading.

The Sale of goods act lasts for more than a year, coupled with Microsoft covering a brand new console for at least 3 years, is infinitely better than a "refurbished" machine of an indetermined age with a two year warranty .
