Calling all potential baldies!!! (me included!)

This may not be for everyone, but here goes.....

Regaine Extra Strength - 3 months supply for £38.50.
Boots are at £59.99 - so seems a pretty good deal to me, based on the reviews, I'm gonna get some!

spend an extra £1.50 for free delivery!

got this for a relative (honest) from fleabay

quite a lot cheaper than this - think it was about £25 for three months supply. it was well within use by dates too.

haven't voted either way

Probably useful to add the associated shampoo for an additional £2.99.
Total order would be around £41.49 and qualify for uncharged delivery.

yeah - just seen that, and just checked ebay, can't see any that beat this price, well - only one which is out of date for 18 quid. Will go for the combined order me thinks!

look for minoxidil or rogaine, not regaine

So come on then? If I'm to be censored I'd at least like to know who's doing it (I'll find out in my suspension pm anyway).

Misc discussions (using such terms as 'pathetic') on the merits of a product belong in the Misc forum, not in a deals thread & should still be in line with the forum code of conduct.

This stuff belongs in the msc forum anyway. It's not a deal, it's a con. We'll be getting deals posted for miracle weight loss and ugly pills next.

It is clinically proven. By the sound of things you deserve what is coming to you.

I'm just wondering who will be providing feedback on these products!!! :p

I used Regaine several years ago when it was about £30 for a month supply. Then came the extra strength version and I used that too. I noticed a little bit of hair coming back and you do have to keep using it but it's sticky and if you sweat through your head, or it rains, it's not really that great and it's certainly no miracle cure.

Don't get me wrong, it's not easy going bald but life's a bitch and then you marry one right?

I shave the old solar panel now - it works for me and (thankfully) it turns out my head doesn't have 666 written somewhere beneath my once flowing locks.

I really haven't got the patience to maintain such a fruitless arguement. I've already done the research, maybe you should too before you make such bold claims.

BTW, as mentioned earlier this product isn't a miracle cure. It will prevent hair loss and promote growth in certain cases, but it will only work for around a year of twice-daily use.

If you wish to help it last you must seek advice from your doctor regarding hair-loss prevention drugs (I will not mention any particuclar products), but they are only available on prescription and will cost an absolute fortune. There are other treatments availble, most of them wont work for you, and avoid internet deals as they are nearly all cons. It's a case of trial and error.

I've tried a variety of cocktails, and while I've managed to reduce hair loss the side effects made me depressed, ill and constantly tired. And my hair is thin enough without making it greasy too.

So I gave up, and now the hair loss has started again. This time next year Ill be almost completely bald at 28, but as bridgetbodgit says - Lifes a bitch!

Don't bother with this, your much better buying the foam version called
rogaine foam you will pick up 3 months worth on ebay for less than £38.50

The newer foam is much better to use on a day to day basis it dries Much faster than
the liquid stuff that makes your head look really greasy, and there both 5% minoxadil.

I shopped around and found a reputable web chemist where under £33 got me 8 months worth of the pills you're alluding to. Just took some research.

Propecia? If so, check the official website of the drug you have bought - it's prescription only! Finasteride is a cancer treatment, and was never designed to be a hair-loss treatment . It should not be dished out on the internet for peanuts, especially without any professional advice.

[Sorry, edited original quote - the drugs are ONLY available on prescription]

Yes, I consulted my GP, who called a colleague (GP with an existing user of Finasteride as a patient) into the room for more advice and a discussion, and he then wrote me a private script, which I had to send to the chemist before they would accept my order and dispatch the Proscar. I did research on the drug beforehand and am aware of its uses.

It wasn't all quite as dodgy and under-the-counter as you're assuming! I still got a bargain if it works for me, and the retailer was Chemist Direct, so as I say, a reputable web chemist.
