Looks really cheap for £1 as 500ml on the high-way would easily cost this plus maybe extra, with coke zone points and cafe discount also avaliable. :)

Asda nearly always a £1 each every time i shop, Sainsbury's are a rip off for everything unless they have an offer. (snobby people shop at Sainsbury's) only my opion you may have yours and are intitled to it :p

Meh, snobby people ok.... :? Only shop there as closest to me, so what you implying everyone who shops at Sainsburys is a snob, that is just like me saying everyone who shops at ASDA is modest, you base this assumption with no facts as if you went to Sainsburys you would know everyone there isn't a snob... hmm ok your not stereotypical...

Anyway... £1 anywhere for 2L coke is very cheap plus I don't think ASDA have Cherry Coke for a quid I think it just regular there for a £1.

The fruit, veg and fresh herbs are fresher at Sainsburys than the other big supermarkets. They last a fair few days more than my local ASDA or Morrison's do so in my opinion you pay a little more but you get better quality, that doesn't make me or anyone else snobby.

Yeh, Diet Coke definitely isn't in the offer!

I'm affraid to say I agree that Sainsbury's is often the choice of the supermarket snob.

I admit those of you who don't have much choice locally, other than to shop at Sainsbury's, can hardly be accused of being snobish however in urban areas where there's a choice of supermarket I've found for years that snobby people prefer to chose stores like Sainsbury's and Waitrose.

I remember a friend of mine at school used to lord it over me years ago because his parent's chose to drive 20 minutes out of their way to shop at Sainsbury's when they had a perfectly good Asda and Kwik Save round the corner because they thought it was "posh"!

As mentioned above, the evidence is in the prices.

I think your wrong, I admit Sainsbury's prices are a bit higher than TESCO or ASDA I used to have the same misconception that it was for posh people but it really is not. Tesco and Asda are far far away to yeh it is the reason I shop there but if there was a Waitrose there instead of Sainsburys I would make the effort to get to Asda/Tesco. If Sainsburys was expensive I would not shop there. it just seems like it's posh because of the name.

If you're lucky you may be able to get the regular 2L Coke bottle with a code (via coke zone) for a free 2L Coke Zero! Thats what I managed to pick up-therefore 2L Coke regular and a Coke-Zero 2L for just a pound!! Admittedly you have to print off the voucher so its not something you can utilise at the same time but it's a good return!

Got my bottles from a Sainsbury's Local Btw

Have to disagree - I find Sainsburys to be much cheaper than Tesco of late with better offers. All depends on what you shop for I suppose - but my £50 stretches further in Sainsburys than in Tesco of late. Asda is cheaper again although it's a bit of a drive away, so the petrol cost negates any savings you make anyway

And 2L of Coke is 89p in my local Centra (Derry, N.Ireland). The smaller shops can have cracking deals too!
