Does the Quidco 5% work on this?

I might be mistaken but I'm sure I read the other day that Relisys had gone into liquidation.

Therefore if you buy this you better hope Woolworths uphold their part of the c ontract as far as warranty goes because you'll have no chance with Relisys.

Really not clued up with HDTV's at all, so does anyone have any views on this? Good (for the price)? Or just completely cheap and nasty?

Does it do true HD too or just upscale the picture etc?

Your contract is with woolworths so they must honour the guarantee

relisys owe me a unit which is lying in there repair centre.... the only option i was given was to pay for it to be returned un repaired !!!!!

why touch a tv if you know that it cannot be repaired as there are no parts available to repair

seems crazy !!!!!!!!!!

Actually if you follwo the link at the bottom you find this page

http://www.channelregister.co.uk/2007/03/26/relisys_stopped_trading/

which shows relysis has stopped trading and specifically mentions not honouring some warranties!

"At present it would appear that the only warranties that are likely to be honoured are those which were supported by an insurance policy covering sales made between 1 January 2007 and 28 February 2007, however, this is still to be confirmed."

doesn't look good

relisys warranties are only covered for purchases made in january and february this year via an insurance policy that the company took out....:whistling:

If you sent a faulty TV to Relisys for warranty repair you have a right to return of your panel (if you can identify it - and at your cost). However if you returned it to the retailer for repair or you still have (or get) a faulty panel then your claim is against the retailer and (if you used one) the credit card company.

Usual rules: Merchantable quality - fitness for purpose - white goods. If it's 3 years old forget it - 6 months old then demand a replacement, idnependent repair or refund. Depreciation is to be expected but if it's pretty new then you ought to get 100%.

Word of warning on Credit Card company liability: expect a fight - expect mis-leading responses (if you can get one at all) - expect denial they ever received your recorded delivery letters - expect a refusal to take phone calls - expect to have to go to the point of issuing court papers. (Hi Goldfish - remember me?).

Question for a legal eagle: If you buy something with a warranty does the warranty constitute part of the product description as sold? I think it does if it is advertised or on the packaging. So if you bought a new Relisys *now* with a warranty advertised or shown (which won't be valid since they are history) then the retailer is 100% liable (with the Credit Card company)?

Relisys was a client of ours, they have gone into liquidation for the second time in less than a year
the liquidated and reformed as Relisys Digital and have now gone again
great product, but I'd steer clear just in case.

I bought one of these at £450, which I thought was a great price, and I'm using it as a PC monitor. Been running fine for 6 months or so and I'm very happy with it........hope it doesn't pack up anytime soon though! Looks nice and the picture seems great. Steal at £350 I'd say.

all these poor customers thinking they are getting a good deal from woolworths.....

i went in today and asked about the tv and they never mentioned relisys no longer exist......

i suppose you could buy it on your credit card... use it for 2 yrs and return it within the 2 years saying its faulty knowing there are no parts avail to replace it or fix it

contacted woolworths customer support and asked how long warranty is... was adv 1 year..... adv them that relisys are vust however all there repairs are carried out by www.flattelly.co.uk

If your TV goes wrong all you do it accidentally drop it and claim on your household ins. Not that I would be so deceitful of course ;-)
#17
but then your insurance premium will go up.
hardly fair if the TV went wonky due to bad workmanship
#18
Just ordered 2 for work :)

Bargain I think, didnt have much second thoughts, its up to woolworths if it breaks
