It's the retailer that is responsible for faulty goods, not the manufacturer. Thus Ebuyer would have to sort out any issues in the first year - repair or replace.

After that, you're on your own - but you are with any manufacturer unless you've got an extended warranty.

The issue here is whether it's any good for the price. I bought one of their upscaling dvd players and it's really the dog's biscuits for what I paid

I have one of their 15" LCD tv's excellent IMHO but some dealers have a habit of trying to pass the buck on to the manufacturer of the equipment hence the warning. With a walk in shop you fell safer but with an online one it can be hastle.

But as cheapskate58 said you are covererd.

I guess if it did breakdown and they hadn't got a replacement or the parts to repair they should give you a full refund or do they calculate you had it for x months so we knock off £yyy ?

And they have 160 in stock.

"Warranty 1 year RTB covered by Ebuyer"

Depends on your feelings about Ebuyer I suppose and the likelihood of anything going wrong.

Most of the time, if you have problems they occur within days or a couple of weeks of purchse, when you'd be within your rights to demand a refund or repalcement.

After that, it's less likely to go wrong, but if it does ebuyer are not a fly-by-night operation so you'd expect them to sort it out and repair it.

Tempted but no cash (the Dell effect:-D )

please understand the sales of goods act before giving out duff information, you can still claim from the seller after 1 year if your goods fail

Calling Mr Pot, it's Mr Kettle here.

FFS - Don't come across with the bar-room lawyer cr*p. We can all check out the Sale of Goods Act, and then dribble on about theoretical rights deanos. But you should beware about posting duff information yourself!

There may well be a few circumstances enabling a consumer to request that the appliance should be repaired beyond the terms of a manufacturers stated guarantee period.

However, that was not the point of the original posts if you look back:p
