I own one of these and it's great as a beard trimmer (or for designer stubble) and one charge seems to last quite a while! Bargain at this price! :)

Reading the reviews on Amazon, it's not such a good device but can't be bad for this price.

Thanks OP.

If anyone fancies a laugh, read the second of the two reviews for this shaver on amazon.com (US version, I mean). One side effect though, it has put me off buying it. ...You'll see what I mean:

O.k. Ordered mine!

If any help to anyone else, the best item that I could find to take it over the £15.00 was this.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/JCB-SDS60-Screwdriver-Set-60pc/dp/B0007P2D2G/ref=pd_sim_dscm_4/026-8801740-7850060

Don't really need it but it'll be useful to keep in the car. Total cost for both was £17.77

Best bit for me was that it enabled me to use the £10.00 voucher awarded to me by HDUK a few Months back, as a prize in one of the comps on here, so I have HDUK to thank for my beard trimmer. Cheers!

Thanks for the find EdI.
Heat & Rep added!

Just out of interest, have you tried using this on your body hair (chest, arms etc.)? If so, how did you find it? Or is it only suitable for facial hair?

Thanks for the pointer edi and extra info all :)

Is this essentially like the smaller clippers hairdressers have? Cuz one would come in handy when buzzing my own hair, to clean up the edges...

I decided to go for it, and needed some mach 3 blades, so used them to top up the order for free delivery... Awesome!

Thanks alot!

it sounds like those yanks are chewbaccas twin brothers.

nice price for cordless hair clippers, would only be used on my head as i dont have a hairy back and the missus likes the man hair on my chest ( well she tells me she does).

also probably more usefull when i have a couple weeks off and dont shave to use as a beard clipper, cant be worse than the phillishave i have which is rubbish for beard trimming.

thanks for the post, rep n hot ( sounds like some salon talk).

Thanks Edi, repped & voted.

received today, better than expected & far better as a beard trimmer than my £100 plus philishave!

I do need a new beard trimmer. Does the cap come off to expose the cutting head?

Yes, just pulls off.

Good find - mines just come through and it's smaller than what I thought it'd be. Fits nicely in a little pouch and works really well.

To bring mine over the £15 mark I added a couple of DVD's: American History X £3.99 and Scarface £2.99. Great films too.

just wondering, the item is fully waterproof i.e. take it in the shower?
and how noisy is it? i.e. noiser than most hair clippers or?

i know these questions may sound dodgy but got to ask.....

Diodorus-siculus
I got it and it's fine in the shower - shaved the chest with no problems :)

Mrs Siculus likes it too - although her chest didn't need a shave :whistling:

That's it, with an extra quid off I couldn't resist.

got mine just a couple of days ago... very good for the price.... only bad things are the dial and button is difficult to use when the unit is wet and the shaver add-on is not good at all.... wish i could get a closer shave to trim my facial hair really close [sort of not shaved for 2 days look] but guess my braun shaver i got will still need to be used for that....

with reference to the 'slick junk' review on Amazon US; it appears that this man actually chooses to shave his 'credentials' bald yet from just above his 'plucked pidgeon' to his shoulders he leaves 1/4" of body hair. Doesn't that mean he will look like a photo-negative of a normal man? I am posting this because I am genuinely confused. Have I mis-read this, or am I oblivious to a new fashion?

You don't trim then??? Bush was so 1990's!!!!! I used to have a skin head, so had a really expensive pair of cordless clippers. I have grown my hair back, so they now get used on my Balls!!!!!!!

I needed some Duracell D cells for my Maglite that I got the other day. Packs of 6 for £4.97, so I got two packs to take it over £15.
They are £3.99 for two in my local corner shop LOL ****** that.
Excellent buy, thanks. Heat and rep provided.

I can't believe the board filter bleeped that word LMAO

Bump" Still available at £7.99

What's the longest that the comb cut up to? Would this work with longer hair?

I usually cut mine at around a grade 8 which is about 25mm I think.

Now £8.99.
