Titanium – harder than Steel
http://g-images.amazon.com/images/G/02/uk-kitchen/shops/remington/Titanium_logo_small.jpg
The material on the blades and cutters has been designed to meet all types of shaving need. The mid-range R330 Titanium Series has Titanium Coated Blades (TIN) which are 300% harder than steel blades and which also give a long lasting, excellent cutting performance.

Driven by Design

http://g-images.amazon.com/images/G/02/uk-kitchen/shops/remington/BMW_logo.jpgBMW DesignworksUSA has given the new shaver line distinctive, futuristic styling introducing unique colour tones and innovative materials to an otherwise staid category. The new Remington Series establishes a sophisticated brand language that communicates precision performance and bold innovative features. Utilizing precision points, angles and asymmetry, the design language communicates quality and a clean shave with modern visual interest.

New colour directions reflect the distinct design language of the shaver and have been selected to meet the very latest trends. White has become increasingly important in consumer electronics and creates a simple, minimal aesthetic when used on the new Series.

We have a Remington store at our local designer shopping mall which went into administration about 2 weeks ago. The notice outside said the company had gone into administration, although there is no news on the internet about it (that I can find). Maybe they weren't a PLC and have to announce it? I dunno how these things work..
#11
Don't worry it is the retail shop that has gone into admin. Remington is a huge global company with substantial markets.

is this shaver better than the philip one? also on amazon for £31.99

do you mean this one http://www.amazon.co.uk/Philips-HQ7290-Williams-Rechargeable-Shaver/dp/B000G2Y58U/ ?

The pluses for the Philips include being washable and having a quick charge.

I can't vouch for the reliability of the responses on the Shavers site but the Philips is highly regarded

The Philips shaver @ Amazon was a Which "Best Buy" - I got one last week and it is excellent

The R330 (next model up from this?) also got a good review at Which - not sure about this exact model though (but I guess it can't be that different to the R330?)

Remington is not a company, it's a brand.
Spectrum Brands Inc is the company.
The group has sold of its non core businesses and the retail division is distinct from its parent.
They are currently loss making and have had to obtain a credit facility to help liquidity, hence shops whihc are not hugely containing big margins will go.

Ahh so thats why Google returned Remington Shotgun shells!

Like I said, Remington is not a company, it's a brand of personal care products.
It's Spectrum Brands Inc that is the company.
Spender got confused.
