That's handy. Stop my mam pinching my CDs every time she has a drive out as well!

worth a punt at under a fiver
#3
Bought one of these a while ago for the works van and they are excellent for the money.
#4
Bought the same from Deal Extreme recently and works a treat. Very good quality with no loss of 'signal' or interferance. Powerful as well, can pick the signal up on a radio inside the house.

Highly recommend these if ur car has no AUX socket.

Same price at Deal Extreme.

Deal Extreme £4.44

Gotta be worth a go at this price

I've been using one of these for approximately a year now in my car and think it's brilliant!

Not bad at that price but they are cheaper on eBay .. but only by £1 or so ...
#7
I had one of these from ebay for less than this amount, it's OK but not great, it's made of cheap feeling plastic and has fallen apart more than once (although has gone back together each time) We use it to plug the kids portable DVD player into so the sound can be played through the car speakers. It does have a USB socket too but it's slow and difficult to navigate through the tracks and each time you switch the car off it forgets where it was and goes back to the beginning.

Bought from prepaymania ebay shop for £3.78, thanks.

I didn't understand the post at first as I could not see any picture of a remote controlled car!

in the description it says:-

"* Transmit music from MP3 players with USB or 3.5mm audio output socket
* Support mobile phones and any audio/video players with 3.5mm earphone socket "

so if your ipod has a 3.5mm socket, it should work
#13
Sorry if this sounds stupid...do I need to buy a memory card for this? Thank you x
#14
Had mine a year, works okay but only play options appear to be from 1..n or random. Not able to select an album to play which is a shame.
#15
seriouslylovely

Yes unless you want to connect your music player to it
#16
absolute pish, falls apart, very cheaply made and bad signal & connection with ipod. Your better off in the long run getting a head unit with ipod jack for £30

worth the fiver. thanks.
#19
bought one of these. Not worth it for even 1p. Complete POS!
#20
bought 2 of these a while ago thinking they would be OK for them money, but sorry to say they were total crap! FM Signal quality was unbearable, and as far as I can remember they didnt have any memory for the preset frequency or song postion or both after power off/on. I wouldn't even dare resell them on ebay.
#21
Not sure if this will fit in my car or not as it's a pull out cigarette lighter but at this price, it's hardly worth not getting,

Many thanks :-)
#22
Resets frequency every time you turn of the ignition. Really annoying.

AUX in snapped after during first use.

The cheapest quality FM transmitter I've brought, and I've been through a few. Really thin plastic.

Avoid.
#23
hmm... if it doesn't work very well for it's key purpose as an fm transmitter, I reckon it'd still make a rather inexpensive butt plug! :p
#24
so am i right in thinking that ...you put music on a sd card, put it into this thing and then plug into your car cigerate lighter n it plays music? what about speakers??
#25
you dont need speakers its an FM Transmitter!!! the radio picks it up.

To hear the sound you have to tune your car radio to the frequency that the transmitter is transmitting at. Then the sound comes out of your car stereo speakers.

it uses your car speakers

shame it can't also charge - i'm looking for something like this to connect my android phone to car stereo - but you can't leave an android phone on GPS for more than 10 minutes without having it plugged in. can anyone recommend a good car FM transmitter which also charges a phone (it'd need to do the full 1 amp output that my phone needs, too! :\)

Awesome little device!
:p
#30
These seem to divide people. I had one and it was brilliant! Got stolen though :(

I bought this instead http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.14617
3 times the price but I really like the option to use the bluetooth with my iphone to listening music and making phone calls
#33
is there a limit on memory size of the memory card one can use?
#34
brought one of these and thought it was a poor piece of kit , no matter how much I tried with various radio settings I could not get a clear signal between the adaptor and car stereo. I brought a tape adaptor in the end for about £2 and that runs rings around it.

Not voted cold tho!
#35
The tape adapters are good, but if like me you only have a cd player, then this device is pretty good.

I've had one before which lasted over a year. If the new one I purchased lasts the same, I will be very happy indeed. :)

I have purchased this recently and it worked fine except from one problem which I am not sure if any other users have noticed.. this little cheeky device was blocking SATNAV's signals in the car and even my mobile navigation wasn't working.. bit strange but everything started working fine after removing this device.. so guys let me know if anyone of have ever experienced this issue..

Cheerss
#37
yet one more gadget for the car!!! never seen one before,
#38
I didnt get a manual.

Ive stuck a 4gb micro sd in a sd adapter & works ok,

reception is pretty good but it forgets what frequency you set it to, every time it loses power, so its best to keep it on 89.5 (i think thats what it comes up with on power up) AND every time it loses power it plays the first song again (if you got 1000's of songs that can be annoying)

Ive found if you hold in the play button, that turns shuffle on.
#39
Works a treat. After switchoff mine just restarts from the start of the running track and also doesnt forget its settings.
#40
How do you set the frequency so it doesnt forget?
