£23.99 in my tesco, twickenham

it was on yellow shelf label, so I assume it is nationwide. it was also on a shelf end usually indicating that its nationwide
#11
23.99 in my store but it was on an end display saying FROM £15
#12
Great Cognac, great price.
Served in a warm glass, with a cup of espresso coffee and some decent chocolate. Perfect end to a meal!
#13
£25 for 2 bottles if you use the LIDL voucher from this weeks Daily Express ( £5 off £30 spend).

I hope that you all know that Tesco take competitors "conditional spend" vouchers?!
#14
Spoke to (the woefully inadequate) customer services today who had no knowledge of the deal and insisted Tesco DO NOT price match. Has anyone actually bought this deal or just "seen" it?
#15
is it really good?
#16
prefer Three Barrels myself but this is a good price so might be tempted, heat added.

I contacted Tesco head office during the week and they told me it was up to local management. I will be checking this out tomorrow, that's if the staff on reception have a brain and can work out what I am asking them.

This is where the Sows Ear and Silk Purse comparison comes into it's own.

If you get any of this tosh from Tesco, I suggest you do as I did and e-mail your concern to the top brass. Forget the monkeys at CS, they do not tell the truth!

I'll quote you this snippit and assure you that my store manager has had his nuts roasted over this one, do you see my rye smile ;-)

"As explained by XXXX, all our stores should accept our competitors coupons, as long as our customer has met the qualifying spend, as displayed on the coupon. Although I appreciate that you have been given several different reasons explaining that stores should decline such coupons, I can assure you that this is certainly not the case.
"

Tescos policy is clear. This manager discretion stuff is ... balls.

p.s. I used the Lidl voucher today without issue in a different Tesco to the one mentioned above, but what we need is consistency.

The e-mail address to use, and I'm not kidding you here, is [email protected]">[email protected]

I have argued this need for consistency with Tesco many times. They may have a policy, but the staff on the front line aren't trained in how to implement it.

I have emailed the address you have quoted.

Awaits reply from Tesco

Mate, it annoyed me that much that I've had a personal crusade to get to the bottom of it!

I've posted this here :

Three barrels sucks.

Been to two tescos in the north west, and they have no knowledge.

So I think we can safely assume this is NOT nationwide.

(also been to two Asdas and they are all sold out.)

No luck with the drink at my local Tesco's - end of shelf states "from £15" - Remy Martin marked up at £23.99 even when scanned, almost a waste of a journey.

However................................................. I picked up a copy of the express and was informed by the manager that I can use the £5 off £30 spend Lidl voucher there, which I intend to do tomorrow.
#29
Just driven to local Tesco.

Big sign stating "from £15" , Remy Martin marked up at £23.99 even when scanned, total waste of a journey.

Please check facts before posting. If you did and it was local offer only then accept my apologies, if not, thanks for nothing!

COLD! Mine didnt even stock Remy Martin, what a wild goosechase especially after making a prior wasted trip to ASDA, was even gonna get a 1l of baileys but that turned out to be crap aswelll

:shock::shock::shock: You're having a laugh .....right?

Line them up side by side ..... one will be smooth the other will cut your throat like a razor. No guesses as to which one is which. ;-)

I am tempted to trail round the supermarkets for this deal tomorrow. It's in Asda and Tesco then?

Thanks, heat added ..... just hope I can get a bottle or two!!

Got 4 in Adsa last night (last 4 in Radcliffe, Manchester im afraid but I believe some stores still have stock). There doesnt seem to be a limit on number of purchases and this offer ACTUALLY EXISTS. Dont waste your time with Tesco most of em dont know what day it is.

#39
Didn't bother going to Tesco but called at Asda today and they have the Remy for £15 and seemed like plenty of stock.

They also had Bombay Sapphire gin and Glenfiddich Malt whisky for £15 too.

A bargain , especially the Remy which is more or less half price.

ASDA Govan (Glasgow). Needed a bottle of cognac for a recipe. Looked at the price tags for ages and eventually decided to splash out on this at £23 down from £28. On my way to the register discovered it in special offer section at £15. So £28 down to £15!!!!!!! Don't know jack about fine brandies but this has to be a bargain and there were shelf-fulls of it available for purchase!!
