Hi guys,

Noticed EE now have Sim only deals (maybe contracts too) that also include EU Data!! (Finally!!)

Anyway have quiet a good Sim only deal already due up in May but thought I'd try...

Called and asked if I could look at changing my contract to a new package including EU Data.

This is what I got offered-

4GEE MAX 30GB (Shared Data, upto 90 Mbps)

30GB Data 4G UK/EU (Shared with all other EE numbers on my account)

Unlimited UK/EU Texts and Calls

£21.99

My 'Sharer' has use of the data and is an additional £6 a month (and has unlimited calls/texts)

Have used a '3 Mobile' data Sim for roaming for a while...won't need this anymore plus the data speed was rubbish in the EU!!

Haven't resigned a contract so still have the possibility to change it come contract end May 2017.

Hope this helps someone, good luck :)

Edited: Couldn't do this in an EE shop btw

Let's summarise.
£21.99
2 sims
Both with unlimited mins and texts
30Gb European data to be shared.
Additional 30gb UK data to be shared.

Correct?

Or does the sharer SIM cost an additional £6?

I didn't understand you got two separate EE SIM cards so two contracts for £21.99 a month on a 12 month contract

Unlimited minutes and unlimited texts with 15gb data for each sim works out £10.99 a month am I right
1 Like #3
Wouldn't it be prudent to wait a little nearer to the day we actually get no EU roaming charges?
1 Like #4
Indeed as mentioned an additional £6 a month for the sharer Sim.

Not for everyone, but for those who travel abroad the 4G EU data across two phones is super useful.

For those of you who vote cold, please explain why and better examples for me and everyone else ... it might help someone get a better deal (the point of this website??)

Love and Peace to all

FYI an EE sharer data plan is sharing the main sim data, in this case 30GB 4G upto 90Mbps in the U.K. and the EU

I am in a contract that runs out in May 17, EE didn't make me re sign a new 12 month contract, so from April onwards I'm able to change the plan of required.

Personally being able to use proper speed 4G data across the U.K. and EU without worries of running out was a no brainier for me and the 'sharers' on my account!

According to the EE website, that 30GB 4G is not for the whole of the EU nor is it clear if you can use that 30GB in the EU at all:

That's the old plans as of August 2016, these are new plans, if you check the latest plans on EE you'll find the latest plans, mine as mentioned above is the 4GEE Max 30GB (plus shared data)

The trouble is EE don't update there T&C's with the new Plans (content or price) but trust me

THEY INCLUDE THE EU countries mentioned and the 4GEE Max 30GB data is for U.K. and EU .. ALL OF THE 30GB and my 'sharers' :)

Please check this page for the latest offers ( I don't work for EE lol but find this crazy that I have to help find the info for a voter cold offer and no come back on a better deal based on the offer in its entirety...zzzz!)

http://shop.ee.co.uk/sim-only/pay-monthly-phones?selectedPriceLimitStart=-1&selectedPriceLimitEnd=100

Peace and love to all :)

So why post duff info? According to that first link, one is still restricted to a max of 15gb in the EU.

Before you go off on another rant, your latest link is where I got the initial info on post #6.

I'd rather stay on my £7/mth deal and pay the £4/day premium for as and when I go to the EU until the law kicks in. Your deal only works economically if I go away for more than 45 days in the year. Hence cold.

I haven't given any duff info lol and I have the deal I mention, I'm happy to send you my mobile number to you if you want to call EE and ask them to offer the same deal to you of you like ... :)

The 15GB or any data cap fair use doesn't apply to this EE offer, please check the latest EE offers as linked above.

EU means EU and as per the EU as I know it and EE's T&C's point out EU is all of those counties I copied and pasted off the T&C's!!

15GB data cap is for another(old) plan this relates nothing to the new plan posted originally and the link I sent above offering this plan.

So is it 30Gb data for UK and 30Gb data for Europe per month?
Does the EU data not roll over to the UK and have say 60GB total to use for a month?
#17
Sorry for ranting, it's not my fault EE provide rubbish info on their websites for plans and T&C's, I'm just trying to help and having to locate info for people to back up the offer/plan I actually have is time consuming.

This is for a phone plan, if not sure about my info try using that phone to call and ask for the same deal if it covers your requirements :)

Hiya, nope I'm pretty sure EE no longer offer roll over anymore or for a while now?? Could be wrong

The 30GB data is 30GB total for use in the U.K. and the EU for myself and any sharers on my plan ... not it's 'proper' 4G unlike 3 :)

Hope this helps

My info is correct
EE's info is out of date

How could I possibly be held responsible for EE's lack of updating their info on their websites

Best thing I find to do is call and ask :)

So now you are claiming that both EE T&Cs for SIM Only contracts made after 10th February 2017 AND the aforementioned live chat with EE are incorrectBUT you are correct.

Keep believing that, son. I suggest you get your coat on: it's gonna get cold in here.

Also just spoken to EE over the phone via retentions (as I've been rolling for over a year waiting for the EU law to kick in): they confirm to me the same as above. i.e. the 30GB deal on offer online has EU data capped at 15GB per month. The 10GB deal is capped to 10GB EU.

Thanks for the info! I've been on the phone to EE about this, they've checked the recordings of my calls and confirmed that the sales person confirmed that the 30GB is EU too

HOWEVER!! The person I just spoke to confirms as you found out and checked that it's restricted to 15GB abroad, which tbh is still plenty for myself and my sharer when away as much as we do.

So I'm sorry for 'ranting' the recording is as I was was led to believe, post here and 'rant' about.

EE apologised and offered a 40GB plan (15GB in the EU!) for the same price.

Good to chat as it transpires, and I thank you.

I only want to share and help (with the info I was given) and you have helped too and I thank you.

There is no option to delete a deal, you could report it so that a Moderator closes it down. If you re-post and you are hoping to get hot votes you will need to explain the deal much more clearly explaining how many SIMs you have and the exact sharing of the allowances because I have read through quite carefully and I am none the wiser. Also you make the assumption that you will get the advertised data speeds when roaming, which is unlikely on a guest network where you will be throttled in favour of local customers. A focus on grammar and spelling might help as well as it makes your convoluted explanations even harder to follow. Best of luck.

Not really out for hot votes, but interested in a better than this as offered that includes most if not all of the actual final offer...I signed up to this offer as it saves me money, not to gain browny points :)

Am I the only one on here that has a regularly used passport?

TBF you have posted 2 deals ever and they were both for pretty much the same thing and they both went cold. It is really down to the fact that they are hard to follow and from a personal point of view I am not really interested in how much you go on holiday. Why not check out some of the SIM only deals that have been popular to get an idea of what information people like to see and how they like it to be presented. Also, I would not recommend posting a deal where you challenge people to find a better one, that is not the aim of posting a deal.

just to clarify on what the OP got, it is a 12 month minimum term on the 30gb max sim only plan, however anytime upgrade IS allowed if you want to upgrade back onto a 24 month phone plan

the EU data is fair usage of 15gb but isn't a cap, it just slows down to limited use to things like browsing and maps etc

Yeah I tend to use a fair amount here and when abroad esp for tethering, plus the other half will tap into the data a fair amount too

It's pretty handy for google maps when driving abroad, the 3 sim I use is pretty rubbish speed wise and found that when I used an EE EU data pack abroad the speed was plenty fast compared.

Unlimited this and that is in my use and opinion a bit of a sales farce when it comes to texts (iMessage and WhatsApp of course uses data, who sends SMS in an unlimited way these days??)

Voice minutes wise I do use a fair amount still

The way mobile phone use and technology is going it will be all one day via data of some sort...modern landlines for example have almost gone this way i believe?
