Misleading comments dont help anyone.:x

Brilliant drama reflecting the problems faced by many firefighters after their experiences of 9/11.

Definitely not a comedy for those who may consider buying it.

WTF!

Have you even seen this show? If so, then you have a serious Sense of Humour problem as its hilarious. Ok, it may be a black comedy but it's definitely a comedy!

So, as you said, Misleading comments dont help anyone so research your facts before posting false statements. :w00t:

In your opinion, which is patronising and insulting.
No one I know who has watched it would consider it a comedy. There are one or two far fetched threads which don't fit (eg the bloke who wanted a threesome) but overall a good reflection of the situation it portrays, which is the serious problems suffered post 9/11 by some of FDNY finest.

I am sure I could find links to confirm my view like you have tried to do, but I haven't the time to be so sad.

Opinions are just that. I didn't want your flippant description of the programme to put people off buying it. Thats all. Lets leave it there.

My god! its obvious now that you have no sense of humour whatsoever! EVERYONE I know thinks its hilarious and it no longer has anything to do with 9/11 at all as I have just watched the first 3 episodes of season 4. Season 2 hardly references this at all. I reckon you have just watched episode 1 of season 1 and thats it.

It is NOT supposed to be taken seriously - its a comedy!

Anyone else agree or do you watch it stone faced like this plank?

You really are a very rude obnoxious person. How do you manage to get through life with an attitude like that?

I have watched the whole of season one, but from what you have said, I don't think I will be buying any more as it seems to have deteriorated beyond anything I would enjoy.

You have just saved me £15.99!

I'm very pleased for you. At least now you admit to knowing nothing about this hot deal as you haven't even seen it! I accept your apology.

Maybe you should spend the huge sum of £15.99 on some Monty Python or similar to learn what comedy is all about.

this is a funny show at its core, the daily scrapes gavin gets himself into are ingenious

the topic and some storylines are very serious but a lot of it is very lighthearted

one of the best series to be show on tv in the last few years

If you like this then try and watch a series called DEXTER and of course THE JOB.

That was not an apology, it was obvious that I had not progressed beyond the first series as otherwise I wouldnt be wasting my time looking at a thread which states Season 2. Which makes me wonder why you are looking as you must have seen them already?

And I love Monty Python!

i think in this day and age you have to laugh at all circumstances,im sure if this programme was not found to be suitable,it would not have been bought by any tv stations. It does depend on your humour, but i think it is hilarious, but also deals with serious situations to, if you dont like it just dont buy it,if its on tele you have an off button.

It is a (black) comedy drama, created by and starring a stand-up comedian. It has high comic value as well as moments of drama and pathos. The comedic moments outway the latter, hence the shock moments carry much more weight when they do arrive.
Great stuff.

Try and see 'THE JOB' which came just before Rescue Me and was also written by Dennis Leary and Peter Tolan. Its hilarious although only on Region 1.

dennis leary is great, and i agree because the humour is hilarious, the serious things(eg.his son)hit you like a train.
