I was checking the Argos Sale online and saw this game reduced from £29.73 to £19.73, which is the best price i can see so far for it online.

Been looking for this game for some time and iv finally found someone who has it in stock.

So for those of you out there who haven't played it yet check it out! Iv reserved my copy at my local branch to buy later on today.

Simply one of the best games I've ever played - I couldn't use the old Resident Evil control scheme effectively, but on the Wii it is engrossing and very long lasting. If you haven't played it yet, it's definitely worth it for this price.

I agree...Great game.

Wow that they actually took so long to drop their price from £30

Great find and game!

Next best price is £22.99 at Choicesuk.com

Fantastic game, and we aint saying it to be saying it.

Careful though as its for 15+, not for the young'ns

The Cube version was brilliant and I bet the Wii version is just as compelling. Though admittedly I never completed it as I had to trade it in to raise funds for my launch day 360.
Hot.

great, good reviews on gamespot - editor's choice, 9.1

I noticed that deal today also, wish I'd known about it a few days earlier as I'd bought it from choicesUK last week...oh well at least I got Quidco!

Thanks for the comments folks - I might just buy it now...

I don't know whether to get this game or Metroid Prime 3: Corruption also from argos for £23.32. I have resident evil 4 on ps2 but the control scheme on the wii edition seems alot better and i never finished the game on the ps2, but metroid prime looks amazing too but i never played the first 2. Can anyone who has both of these games give me there recommendation for which game to buy please?
Thanks.

If you have got the Wii zapper, this game reaches new levels of amazingness.

I am about 85% through this game, what I would say is the controls are quite tricky when you first play it, but if you give it a couple of go's you soon get used to it.

I bought this for my PS3 60GB (£14.99) as it plays PS2 games as well, I play this more than I do of so called next gen games.

This game is indeed pure genius. I was terrified 1st run through, but then I bought the typewriter gun, and it becomes absolutely hilarious just blowing the cr*p out of everything! Hurrah! I think I got it for £30 quid at launch, which I thought was a bargain then, so this is great.

god, i can't wait! i used to hate the wii, until someone bought it for me! lol - it's sooo good!

I thought the Wii Zapper Gun was for that other Resident Evil game on the Wii called Umbrella Chronicles, you might be mixing your games up.

I bought a gamecube for less than a tenner on evilbay a couple of months back. I bought Metroid Prime and RE1 & 4. I played RE4 until I completed it,3 days I think and I have to say,one of the best games I have played! Up there with the first Halo if not better. For those who don't have a "next gen" console. Pick up a cheap gamecube and get this for it if you haven't played it before. Brilliant!

Hot. This game is excellent, first game I played through when I got my Wii, controls work great once you get used to them.

If you don't mind it being preowned you can get it from Gamestation for £19.99 with 6% cashback through Topcashback, which works out about £18.79. Not much more for a new copy though so I doubt anyone will bother.

good idea if this goes out of stock

love your name! can't wait until locoroco 2 - i'm such a child! lol :-D

Magic Game - the wii controller makes this even better than the gamecube version, although it is ever so slightly easier because of this.

Completed it twice now - worth doing as you see more of the detail the second time round and you have more powerful weapons to blast the infected with. And when is that ever a bad thing!

As for whether you should get this rather than Metroid Corruption, I would say RE IV is better in the short term - it's definitely far more compulsive so expect some loooong nights, but I've played all the metroids and loved the sense of dread and drama. Metroid has the depth, RE IV has the sheer eye popping seat of pants thrill of it all. Definitely a game I won't forget in a hurry. AND DEFINITELY NOT ONE FOR THE KIDS!

My advice, mortgage the cat and get both!

I have both of these on the wii, but completed RE4 on the ps2 before i bought the wii.

Unfortunately, the wii edition was the same as the ps2, so 10mins in i was bored of it, and its been shelved since....

When i bought metroid i played it heavily until completed (as i did with RE4 on the PS2) - its a really good game, although returning to some planets can be a little annoying!

Theyre both very good games, but choosing between them isnt easy as they are both different.

I would honestly recommend getting both of them!

Now that ive completed it, if you want metroid, i will sell you mine for £16 (paypal or bank transfer), delivered.....Its also in as new condition. Can also offer RE4 for the same price, or will do both for £30 delivered.

If interested, please pm as i likely wont be following this thread/

top game, got it at chrimbo and still playing it.....but i am slow!!

even better if you have the gun accessory thang.
#33
First of this is a very very good game! I've finished it multiple times on Gamecube, PS2 and the Wii and I found the Wii by far the easiest to control! The Wiimote takes the guess work out of the aiming system.

To the guy asking between RE4 and Metroid -

As mentioned, they are quite different. I thought RE4 was better personally. Metroid was good, but not good enough to make me ever finish it, whereas I've played through RE4 about 4 times now. But Metroid was pretty good.

Oddly enough, I was thinking about this game the other day. I occurred to me that this is probably the only game I have ever been frightened when playing. It is genuinely intimidating. You will cr*p your pants playing this.

And for that, it's got to be worth £20 of anyone's money.
#37
Well guys, iv bought the game from Argos about half-hour ago. Will play it later on, will be sure to cr*p my pants :-(

Thanks for all the post's, didn't expect to get such a response. I did buy this on the PS2 and i think my brother did complete it, but i never had the chance to play it :?

But as reviews go the Wii version seems to be the preferred one due to the controls, specially fighting the El-Gigante as mentioned in the review from Gamespot
