Back when Resident Evil first hit our screens Resident Evil redefined the horror genre and terrified most of us in a way we didn't think possible, promising to continue this tradition Capcom is unleashing Resident Evil 5.

Chris Redfield, returning to the Resident Evil series for the first time since his last foray in the original, has joined a new organization, having followed the Viral outbreak all over the world, Chris heads to Africa where the latest bioterrorism threat is transforming the people and animals into mindless, maddened creatures. You must take on the challenge of discovering the truth behind this evil plot.

Promising an unprecedented level of fear for the next generation in Resident Evil 5, the sequel to one of the highest-rated videogames in history. Promising to revolutionize the series by delivering an unbelievable level of detail, realism and control, Resident Evil 5 is certain to bring new fans to the series. New technology developed specifically for the game, as well as incredible changes to both the game-play and world of Resident Evil will make this a must-have game for gamers across the globe.

Easy 1000 points for any achievement *****s out there.
You might think the hardest setting would be hard, but it's a breeze when you have all the weapons unlocked and upgraded.

The Gold Edition comes with a token in the box to download the DLC, but you can buy the DLC for 960 MS Points (£8.16), so it's probably going to work out cheaper to buy this for £9.98 and pay for the DLC bundle cos it gives you the exact same thing as the Gold Edition.

Really tempted by this.

This game is ace. I really think you should...

I was amazed how good this was. As good as resident evil 2 once you get used to the controls.
#9
Clearly I'm biased, but you can get the game and an official black wireless controller for £26.49 [£1.99 shipping]

Controller works out at £18.50 assuming game is worth £9.98

I did have it last year but I ended up selling it to a mate for some reason.

I only got up to the part where you had to beat some massive boss thing by burning him alive in a furnace type area.

Never had a RE game before. I heard the controls were a bit sucky on this. Hold down X to run etc.

Should I wait for Left 4 Dead too to drop in price or get this ?

very good price .. at £10 can't really compain ! heat added!

Very different games mate, I think you'll be waiting for a long time for L4D to drop though, it's held onto it's value really well.

Nah, controls are fine. I had RE4 on the Wii and it only took me a few minutes for them to feel perfectly natural. It's definitely a great co-op experience with plenty of scope for mucking about hitting each other with cattle prods and the like. I'm not usually one to mention graphics because gameplay is what's important, but this looks staggering. It looks much, much better than the recent CGI film.

last time i ever played resident evil was long ago on the playstation (one), zombies would stagger slowly towards you, then a couple of shots BRAP they r dead with a few odd shockers like when the dogs come running in...I loved it. When i tried the demo to this it was COMPLETLY different, the zomies were legging it towards me full speed, every angle, well scary, I LOVED IT MORE. Its one of them games you play at night, and when its foggys outside lol. Heat added

I don't know, RE DC is still the best game in the series in my opinion.

I loved the music and atmosphere of the original RE and none of the others have been able to recreate that.

for people buying this, make sure you have a friend to play with the co-op partner is so stupid
