Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition

New horrific episodes and a host of new content for the smash hit, Resident Evil 5. The robust content will be making its way to fans’ gaming consoles this Spring as both downloadable content and a new collector’s edition, Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition.

Available via download from Xbox Live and PlayStation Network, the new content available will include two new downloadable episodes, Lost in Nightmares and Desperate Escape, and two costume packs which allow the player to experience the Resident Evil 5 campaign in a whole new way. Each piece of downloadable content will include two new characters from The Mercenaries Reunion, a refresh of the Mercenaries mode from Resident Evil 5. With eight playable characters, each with their own moves and strategy, the player must eliminate as many enemies as they can within a set time limit.

Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition is a must-have for Resident Evil fans as it will include the original game and all additional content released for Resident Evil 5 on a single Blu-ray disk for PS3 or as a DVD with a token to download all content from Xbox Live.

i think this is platinum

I don't think it is. Most retailers (Amazon, choicesuk, sendit, shopto.net) have the same graphic, it looks just like the previous gold edition except for a blue blob (the MOVE logo).

i see...seems abit too cheap though....def buying it tho...only played the demo...and will def get the move

I wouldn't recommend Shopto, I had an order from them which I didn't receive, and they make you sign something to say you haven't received it so they can claim from Royal Mail. I sent this three times, twice recorded, and they still claimed it wasn't received. They were alright up until then, but I'd rather pay the extra pennies elsewhere.

If you don't want to buy from shopto.net then sendit.com have it for 4p more
#8
yep this is platinum because a similar deal from the same company was posted before and one of the hotukdelas members said he/she emailed them and they confirmed it was platinum edition

I got scammed by ScamTo as well. Over a period of 3 months 2 games didn't arrive. I emailed them a few times and they never replied and just closed my account. I emailed them about this too and yep no replies. Scam outfit! They send out skip rubbish too sometimes by using their own shrink wrap machine. Very bad.

MR1123,
So Amazon have the wrong artwork as well do they?

And if you are referring to my deal (Linky) then no-one had any proof that it is platinum.

Yup same here, I'm still waiting on a £12.50 refund for a game never received. That and they lost my CC details in 2009, awful company.

Yep. Shopto have done me over with the same problem. It was a pre order for red dead ltd edition. Never arrived. And i had to go back and forth with missing parcel forms. I will never use them again. I implore you all to avoid these wasters!

I've got nothing but good things to say about Shopto.

Ordered PGR4 for under £5 on Monday, and it arrived Tuesday morning.

does one of the expansions really take it back to its roots with the mansion and zoms?

Exactly. As it was under a fiver, they can afford to send those ;)

I think ShopTo are excellent. Never had a problem with them, games arrive day after purchase, pre-orders arrive a day before release date. I think they are better than Play.com to be honest.

Never had any problems with shopto been using them for a few years while things From play and game never turned up

Without calling anyone a liar I do think some people over exagerate their experiences, especially with shopto.net. I must say I've been using them for over 3 years now and not had one single problem with them. Yes, they had a well publicised CC security issue but in all honesty that could have happened to anyone.

Also, to those claiming they had to fill out forms and what not, why not just pay with paypal? You'll get your money refunded straight away as they don't wait for a retailer to phaff around with returns forms and the like. Just open a dispute, refund granted. Simples.

Agreed, people do go way overboard when it comes to bad experiences. I had a mate the other day say he wouldn't order CDs that were ridiculously cheap for rare albums at Play.com (I'm talking under £4 for albums that, if they're even in stock, would cost £15-£20 elsewhere) because he had one bad experience where something took ages to arrive and when it finally did it was the wrong item.

One order in a small handful is not reason to stop using a company. I've placed nearly 700 orders with Play in seven years and only once or twice had the wrong item, which always got resolved.

I can understand it more with the ShopTo people who have had protracted and sometimes unsuccessful attempts to resolve problems, though.

30 orders with SHOPTO, all arrived early or on day of release. Fantastic sevice and can only speak from my own experience.
#22
ive had a game lost once with shopto and they did eff all to reimburse me. had to file a claim against them to get my money back!
#23
Agree they were OK before that, I personally never said that. Of course everyone is going to love a company until something happens to them then they will be on here and get shot down as usual. But for a company to ignore buyers (OK just me) and close the account for 2 games is stupid and unprofessional. eBay traders had a bad name on here for not answering messages but they are million times better, yes OK until it happens to me too :p

It is easy to say things about other people's misfortune when everything is going fine for the person saying it but ask the people who have to go through the grief, it is not a nice experience as some companies are so arrogant as if they are doing YOU a favour allowing you to buy from them. How times have changed :(.

got 2 psp games for just over 15£ from shopto, arrived a few days later and a week later they paid the 15£ back in my account??haha

Talking about bad experiences I had one with PlayDigital where the music was corrupted. They kept "resetting" my download limit, but I was trying to tell them that the files themselves were corrupted on their server (They of course didn't listen, and the problem never got solved)

In the end I demanded my money back, and it got put down as some sort of "one off courtesy" as if I didn't want the damn thing. I'll never use PlayDigital again, but because their tech staff don't/wont speak to the customer (If they had, it would have been sorted in no time)

But I still order from Play for good old Snailmail stuff, I've no intention of biting my nose off to spite my face! lol

I'm another ShopTo fan. Never had a preorder arrive later than the day BEFORE release day with them. Often arrives two days before release.

But then again, they are just down the road from me.

I just flogged my old RE5 copy for a tenner and ordered the Move one (which is identical to the Gold one but with the free Move patch already on the disc).

Gold also has all the content with extra missions with the STARS people doesn't it?

160 items of history on play.com over 6 years. in that time only one thing arrived damaged and that was a nintendo DS which i rejected on arrival, rang them up and refund was issued straight away by credit card. Was very impressed by service.

I preorded this when it was £14.95, will shopto automatically give me the 10p off or do I have to cancel and reorder? You know what they say, "Look after the pennies ;-)

As its a preorder and as long as you haven't paid up front they should send it for the most recent price.

Been using Play, GAME, theHut, HMV and others for years without a problem. Used shopto ONCE for a pre order of Red Dead Redemption: Ltd Edition and never got it. Wasn't aware of paypal so had a 'mare getting a refund. They said it was missing in the post and they had no replacement copies left for me. So I had to pay £10 more for the game in the local shop. No exaggeration, FACT. If that's not a reason to dislike a site I don't know what is?
