Resident Evil: Operation Racoon City - 360/PS3 - £12.95 @ ZAVVI
Okay so we probably all know it's not the greatest game of all time and has a bit of a love/hate relationship with fans but if you have not played it yet then this price is good enough to warrant a play through.
Part of Zavvis Mega Monday.
Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City brings you back to the start of the horrific biological warfare initiated by the Umbrella facility. It's 1998, and Raccoon City has been ravaged by the outbreak of the deadly T-virus created by the Umbrella corporation.
Prepare for spine chilling, adrenaline fuelled game play as you are instantly submerged into an incredible team-based third person shooter experience. The storyline instantly drops your character right into the heat of battle on the opposing team as an Umbrella Security Services (U.S.S.) soldier, becoming your usual enemy in an odd twist of fate that this game has planned. Your task is to eradicate any evidence of the outbreak ever existing, including survivors should you find any.
The campaign mode, which can be adjusted to suit either single player or have up to four player co-op, allows you to truly define your character; you will gain abilities and skills specific to their fighting style the more your experience level increases. As you trek through this vast and darkly screwed up universe, you will encounter many iconic landmarks featured throughout the Resident Evil legacy, and even the young Leon S. Kennedy as a rookie police officer on your hit list. If facing up against Bio-Organic Weapons (B.O.W.s) and horrifying zombies weren't enough, the US Government has also had the bright idea of sending in their own team of elite soldiers, quarantining the city and assigning them to investigate the cause of the outbreak. Prepare for elimination.
Alongside this, there is also an incredible online multiplayer experience to be enjoyed. This heavily competitive online mode is completely renovated due to the triple threat of the U.S.S., US Special Ops, as well as B.O.W.s and zombies. This game provides the full back story to the fall of Raccoon City, and lays out the foundations to the highly intoxicating and enthralling Resident Evil saga. Keep your wits about you in this high energy and truly thrilling game, as you never know what action or gun play awaits you around the corner. (Cat Emerson)

You're joking, right? This released back in March. It's held it's price longer than most games. It's a really good game now after it was patched. Just don't go expecting anything with the quality of Resident Evil 1-4
Voted Hot!

Yeah when you say mainly this would be suggesting that is the games best features being its online multiplayer... I myself don't care for this as these kinds of games will lose those high amount of online players and instead i would be getting this for the actual story or game mode itself which is why due to its biggest attraction being the online game play and the rate in which this will decrease then its very possible that the game price will drop to £9.99.
There are always consistencies within the main franchise, be it the granades, the way that you mix the herbs, certain sounds etc. Raccon City for me would have been an average game but it was given a Resident Evil title.
I'm really liking the Chris campaign on Resi 6 - the graphics are out of this world. Ok .... far too many cut scenes, but the Japanese love all that don't they?

story was so lame and short that i dont even remember it, the best part of the game was the multiplayer deathmatch

seriously is RE 6 that bad i played the demo and it sucked but was tempted to use the trade in deal at game to get RE 6 think i would be better off with halo 4

Resi 6 is typically Japanese, in that it has far too many cut scenes that are graphically brilliant but you just want to shoot something but end up watching half the action rather than playing it.
I played the demo too. I've come to the conclusion that demos are a waste of time because you know that you're going to reach a certain point and then have to make a decision, therefore being more critical about the short piece you have just played. If you have the whole game then your psychology whilst playing is different.
I'd pay £20 for Resi 6 and play it co-op. I've only just completed Leon's campaign. Some very typical Resi stuff in chapters 2-5 that I enjoyed. There are 3 other campaigns and I'm just about to start one now.
Mercenaries is different but it's not that bad. I prefer playing Versus and Mercenaries on Resi 5 - I don't think that Versus would work on this game at all.
dont even put this crap in the same frame as it
this game is truly terrible
