This was only £17.99 yesterday at dvd.co.uk (base.com & 101cd.com & blahdvd.com)

Think it was an error though because they all showed out of stock and the price shot back up to about £39

Would like people to show me where to get it cheaper as my friend is looking to get one.

Surely voting should be on what the current price is and not what the price maybe in the future. I mean FIFA games end up at a pound. Does that mean that on release of a new FIFA all prices above that are cold? And the but it happens quicker for these games isn't really an excuse. If someone is want to buy this game now it being £19 in a few weeks isn't really any help.

Also what does a review have to do with the price of a game being hot?

Please do not assume that I voted cold for this (I have not voted either way) I simply made a long standing point about those with a little patience will save even more money on this title by giving it a few weeks :)

But if you must rush out and buy this bad boy and this is indeed the best price to date then please go fourth purchase and enjoy

As for reviews, for one thing it helps the less informed and two it allows for the individual to decide whether (based on those reviews) the game is value for money.

I never assumed, said or implied that you voted cold. The only thing i assumed was that you were answering the OP's question as to why the deal was cold. For which i felt your reasoning was rubbish.

Yes, reviews help inform a person whether they will like a game or not but that point is rather moot. Liking a game and it been value for money are not the same. Unless you play the game you'll never know if it was value for money.

I'm not meaning to have a go it you. It's just that it appears that numerous folk on these forums vote things cold because they don't like something. I don't like Modern Warfare 2 games, but if some place had it for a £1, it'd be a hot deal. However, teh mentality of some folk is: yeah its a rubbish game voting cold.

"The only thing I assumed was that you were answering the OP's question as to why the deal was cold. For which I felt your reasoning was rubbish"

Not true, rightly or wrongly a game can and is often voted cold due to other reasons that are not based on its price alone, I simply pointed out to the OP what I believed to be the reason why this particular games was getting cold votes, so please if this is such a “HOT DEAL” you tell me why its not storming up the charts.

As its published by Sega so there is every chance (as tends to be the case with Sega product) that it will be heavily discounted in a relatively short space of time (a fact not lost on us wise old bargain hunters), also as it an RPG so this will tend to go against it as generally you either love'em or hate'em and despite this currently being the cheapest price around some people still loath paying anything more than 50p for a game so are going to knock it for that.

Utter tosh, By looking at the reviews I can tell that this is not my kind of game and at the current asking price it simply does not interest me (therefore not great value for money) but for a tenner I would be more than happy to give it a go :)

Regardless voting a game col because you don't like it is a rubbish reason to do so. I think you answered the reason why it wasn't storming up the charts yourself. People only vote on things that interest them, or they disagree with; this is an RPG so not that many folk are at all interested. Doesn't mean its cold. If your saving money by a few quid then it surely should be hot. At the time this argument began the deal was cold, which it def should not have been.

Because the game doesn't interest you does not mean that you are not saving money. Which i thought was the idea behind this site: to point out bargains for folk.

"voting a game col because you don't like it is a rubbish reason to do so" Agreed :)

"this is an RPG so not that many folk are at all interested. Doesn't mean its cold" Agreed

"At the time this argument began the deal was cold, which it def should not have been" In your opinion ;-)

"Because the game doesn't interest you does not mean that you are not saving money" Not true (see above) :whistling:

Anyway see you in a couple of weeks when its a tenner, then my friend it will be worth some heat :-D
