12 month flexible contract, 2000 Cross network calls, 5000 Free 3 to 3 call, 5000 Text Messages and Unlimited Internet

I'm approaching the end of my 1100 Mix & match contract for which i was paying £20pm. I dont need a new phone as i have the iphone, so rang 3, upgrade dept to see what offers available to me. They offered a 12 month flexible sim only contract that allows you to upgrade to any other 3 contract at anytime without penalty, with all of the above. Well at £13.75 it was a no brainer. This is not an online deal, it is over the telephone to the upgrade dept and depends on your current contract usage, so if like me you were subscribes to the £20 100 mix & match but your bills were always £30 plus due to extra usage, they will defo offer this, although they tell me my average bill was around £26 over the last 18 months.

I have 3 contracts with three, and they always say their are many factors involved in what retention deals they are allowed to offer. So I doubt this would be available to others who had just finished their contract. But I could be wrong. I Just upgraded to £13.00 a month contract, but with samsung tocco f480 phone (a pretty old and okish phone), with 500x net min, 3000 texts, 5000 3-3 mins, 500mb i-net allowance, etc.
Your deal seems better if you can use all those free mins :)

Well I didnt get a phone, but I always go over my allowance with the 100 mix & match, but now I have 2000, hopefully that will put an end to that. I think the 5000 3 to 3 is a gimmick, its supposed to be unlimited but they have to put a number on it. You're right the offers are selected depending on your usage, if you have high bills, they will pull out the stops to keep you.

Awesome ! What's up with the mobile companies. These deals are getting better by the day.

My O2 Simplicity contract ends in a month £15 for 1200 mins unlimited texts unlimited landline calls and i thought that was good, but this seems much better, and in my area O2 suck anyway very poor call quality calls dropping out all of the time etc,

I rang three a few days ago as my contract is up in mid febuary they immediately offered me this deal (12 month contract) OR I could have the same amount deal but with an iphone 4 for £40 per month (24 month contract) I think Im just gonn take the £13 deal and see what they offer me next December :)

I'm with three and was paying £13.25 for mix and match 300. I mentioned the Tesco sim only deal and they offered to keep me on mix & match, added 2000 3to3 minutes and 2gb of data for the bargain price of £6 per month. The contract is 12 months, but I have the option to upgrade at any point.

Retention deals are personal deals with many
factors taken into account. As such, they are
not readily available to many people and are
a bit hit and wish.
#8
If you are not a heavy minutes user, the giffgaff deal might be better. £10 = 250 minutes + unlimited texts + unlimited web (no cap or fair usage rubbish). Sim only pay as go as well so no contract handcuffs
#9
Great work of fiction hardly a deal for everyone

Thats not a great deal as I got mix and match 300, 2gb internet 300 3to3 minutes and a nokia 5230 (sold for £70 on ebay) at £5 a month on an 18 month contract. To get the best deal you need to skip the sales time, get a PAC code and wait for a callback.
#11
My contract is up end of march, I want a sim only deal as I have an un=locked IPhone now, What is a PAC code?
#12
I just called them and I was told there was no such plan:(
#13
Cold, retentions only deal and not available to everyonenot even those on Three.

I just called them and I was told there was no such plan:(

that is 1 Plan £25/m for 12 month contract (£16/m after quidco)
#15
yea me too, just called them and been told the plan is for £25 ;-(

Didnt Work for me

Im in last month with three and called to cancel. They offered a crappy deal at first to stay based on the £10 /month. They called back 10mins later and offered 300 cross mins /texts 2000 landline 5000 3 to3 and 2gb of internet.

Asked if I could pay extra for £13.75 and have deal posted here but told not available to anyone not already on the 1100 mix and match deal.

Still hot if you can get it!

here we go again. another one with "oh. I got this and that for £xx" This is purely the retention offer. Not available for new customers. This is more of a show off than helping other to save their hard earned cash.
#18
The better deal you get the more money they have made out of you in the previous 12 months.

Maybe this year I should spend thousands and thousands on a contract and try and leave next christmas, then I'll get a great retention deal and can post it on this site :p

Only joking, good price. And although not useful or available to everyone it will be useful for three customers coming to the end of their contract.

i got this from them 12 month flexible contract, 2000 Cross network calls, 10000 Free 3 to 3 call, 5000 Text Messages and Unlimited Internet 2gb

same price just before xmas really cheap

I'm sorry they are not offering everyone the deal but I did say in the description that it depends on your current deal. It is NOT a retention deal as my 1100 mix&match contract ends in March, but they waived it for me, now they did try to say it's £15 since the vat went up but I told them that their colleague offered it to me for £13.75 two days ago and they agreed to offer it. Even though the offer made to me 2 days ago was not logged on thier system but they know it was at that price 2 days ago. Like I said they didn't offer the same deal to my wife who has the same mix & match contract as me because she sticks to her price plan, I'm always going over and my bills were £30 to £40 per month instead of £20. I just rang them and can confirm the deal is on, ask for SANA. In the upgrade team. My brother in law just got it this morning too

I've been with 3 for 5 years now and have no complaints, the one time my phone was playing up i sent it in and they sent me a new one within the week.

my 3 contract is 200 x-network minutes, 5000 texts, 5000 3-3 minutes and 2gb internet on the 18 month contract for £20 - looking forward to a decent upgrade in july when it runs out! can't wait with all these good deals coming up.
#23
Good deal but ill never go with 3 again either, worst network of the bunch.
When you say i want to leave they just dont understand or get the message.
Plus indian call centers annoy me.
#24
Really annoyed ,been a customer with three for longer than the op ,paying more money per month ..and am NOT entitled to this offer ! the best they are prepared to do is give me £20 with the same deaL

The op is entitled to this because he/she bought thier 1100 contract with a £7 discount ..so from £27 down to £20 .Now that their contact is up , the £7 discount carries over to the new one ..bringing the bill down to £13!

Very few people will see the benefits ,even those who have been with 3 for the last 7 years!

:) there are 2 options - keep calling and negotiating, its time consuming, but if you are lucky you may get what you ask. or wait till the end of the contract and request for PAC code - if you are lucky you may get a good deal from retention team, though it is not guaranteed. If you don get any good discounts, you can get a new contract via quidco (currently its £106 cashback which makes £33/m for the deal above).

Fatherjacob thanks for the claricfication, about 2 yes ago there was a 100 mix & match deal posted here which went very hot, milia 6500 slide with 1100 mix&match normally £27 but with discount £20 plus quidcp etc, there are hundreds or even thousands of people who took this deal online and would therefore benefit from this deal. I didn't know I still had the £7 discount as I had renewed my contract 15 months ago

Great deal but its 3.... I was with them for years and just left they offered me the 1000 minutes deal with unlimited internet and a handset you could sell for £120 for a tenner a month on an 18 month deal.

I still left. Why ? poor reception in my area and very poor customer service when you have a problem. Its also down to what you use. Plus I am not into long contracts these days 12 months is OK though. This is a great deal but I wouldnt take it even if offered as its 3.

I just moved both my 3 contracts to tmobile on the £7.50 600 minutes, 500 text 3 gig internet unlimited local calls flexible booster deals. 12 months contract. Great reception and customer service and I can actually use my tmobile sim with my vw rsap kit as they actually properly support 2g.

Got a similer deal yesterday, mix match 500 plus 2 gb internet for £5/ month not bad in my book as i was paying £15 pounds b4. Heat left for the posts.

I know its not fror everyone but for those ppl on 3 who are close too or out of contract its worth ringing 3 to see if u you can get a better deal. After all this is hotukdeals . so if any one else voting cold or leaving negatives dont bother . Im happy paying a fiver which network will top this HOT deal.

I have a number of contracts with Three and find it amusing that whenever I call at the end of a contract I always get offered some rubbish deal which is much worse than any offers of their web site!

i will say never trust three on paying cashback...

There really should be a rule/guideline when posting retentions deals, IE: 'retention(s)' to be added to the title of the thread. I'm getting sick and tired of clicking through on what looks like a great deal only to find that it's basically a bragging (sorry informative) post that only the minority can get!
#34
I can't understand the moaning. I find it very helpful to know the best deals that are being offered to other people through retentions, because it helps my own negotiating. Otherwise this remains cloak-and-dagger and only available to a select few.

How people find the Three network depends on where they use their phones like any other network. My experience over the last two years is that their signal and their mobile broadband has been second-to-none.

Thanks for posting OP.

3 have increased the price of my mobile internet six months into a two year contract. I have now stopped using my 3 payg phone sim and moved to Tesco so this has cost them revenue. I will NEVER do business with 3 again. Far too big for their boots!
#36
Well , i've had it with Three , after 7 loyal years with them they have refused to match the deal seen on here for £13.75 the best they would offer was £20.
I dont intend to hang about with these clowns for any longer.

I'd wait for them to ring back, you'll now get bombarded with calls offering you a better deal.

Exactly my thoughts, even if only a couple of people manage to get this deal that is better than no one knowing about it and getting a lot less for their money. Thanks OP voted hot!

find this interesting guys, i recently rang 3 as my contract expires on 20th jan 2011. I asked them about a deal with 3 i seen on the web about the htc desire hd with 900 xnet minutes 5000 texts and 1gb of internet for £30 p/m, i was told this plan had changed for this phone and was no longer available. The guy then told me i could have the phone if i agree to the one plan ( 2000 xnet 5000 texts and unlimited internet ) for £35 p/m over 24m. i told him i no longer wanna pay that much as i felt conned on my last agreement ( n97, 500 mix and match ) £38 p/m. He said " well thats the best i can offer ". I told him i was leaving and asked about taking my phone number to another network at which he sent a text to my phone with the details. he said he was sorry that i was leaving but said if i change my mind ring back. I told him he,s no chance of that happening. I still havent had a call back from anyone yet so fingers crossed.
