5'7" here. 53cm frame seems to be the right one for me. Anybody out there that knows about bikes care to comment please ? :)

yes the size seems to be ok, however i think this might be pretty heavy.

I've just ordered. Needed a new bike to commute to work so thanks OP. I know nothing about bikes, but this is relatively cheap and fits the bill. Just as a heads up, I don't think this is the V2. Looking at the differences, the pictures that are linked to the deal only have the single brake. If it is the V2 though, even better.

I'm 5'7" - 5'8" and have a 53cm bike so go for it. Would recommend lower if a 51 or 52 was available though.

Just got mine delivered and you're right. It is the V2, makes the deal even better. Thanks OP

Looks a good deal, my only concern would be it only having a brake on the front wheel (I know a lot of fixies only have the one brake), particularly when used with the the freewheel. I've had a brake cable snap on me whilst approaching a busy junction, not having a brake on each wheel would have resulted in disaster!

I notice though the description mentions front and rear brake, though the pictures only show a front one?

It's.. okay. It's the first time I've owned a 'fixie' bike. Been used to mountain bikes/bmx and I couldn't seem to get on with it at all. When I received it, it comes half built as a fixed gear. For example, the first time I took it out for a test ride. I went down a hill and picked up speed and wasn't used to the pedals continuing rotating as the back wheel rotates forcing you to continually pedal. On a regular bike I'd like to just rest my feet on the pedals freewheel and let gravity take me. I flipped the back wheel over and made it a free wheel and I still can't get along with it. I'm probably just going to sell it on tbh, I just can't get on with it. The bike itself is pretty decent, I just don't think a fixed gear bicycle is for me unfortunately.
