British Airways and American Airlines have a flights sale from Dublin to North America so you can book return business class flights from around £850. For example:

New York - €1080
Boston - €1079
San Francisco - €1334

The outbound journey to North America must commence between the following dates:

23rd Dec - 2nd Jan
27th Mar - 12th Apr
1st Jul - 31st Aug (i.e. the entirety of the school holidays!)
22nd Nov - 30th Nov

You must start your journey in Dublin (but there are loads of deals on flights to Dublin at the moment so you shouldn't have any difficulties getting there). This is particularly good for July and August where economy class fares are expensive because of the school holidays so you can travel business class for only a little extra of the equivalent economy class flight starting in London.

Book by 27th January 2015 (although the offer could be pulled before then). You can also book through other booking agents like Expedia.

Very good deal, well found! Hoping people on HUKD appreciate this!
I should add that return flights from London to New York for July 2015 in economy on BA currently start at £948, so more expensive than flying business class from Dublin! You may also benefit from immigration pre-clearance at Dublin if travelling on AA and avoid the queues in the US. Flights to New York from London City Airport are also available (these usually cost over £2686 return).

It's OK if they don't. It will be our little secret!
Economy flights are much cheaper from Dublin as well eg BA was £740 from Heathrow whilst it was under £400 departing from Dublin but on the same BA Heathrow transatlantic flight (presumably it avoids the carbon/fuel tax)

Awesome price if you can get on BA1/2 from LCY! That flight is 32 Club seats and that's it. And it earns First Class tier points and Avios!
These types of discounts are because no air passenger duty is paid on flights from ireland... when combined with ba sale prices, it makes a good deal, every time.
Many many thanks. EDI to YVR via Dublin and LHR is less than half the price of that just via LHR and that includes the cheap Edi to Dub transfer. The additional time travelling to Dublin is more than offset by the huge saving.
